I thought it was interesting that he projected Anderson as our #1 starter.
This is actually pretty good considering the limited nature of twitter.
My thoughts on a couple things reading through it:
Yeah, Dick, but he can't hit. He's basically Chris Getz with a little bit better average and no stolen bases. As a person who follows the Royals/Rockies closely, I can say you don't really want to lean on Chris Getz at second. There's a reason the Royals went out and got Infante this offseason.Q. What are your impression of INF @DJLeMahieu?
A. LeMahieu is very competitive, extremely good defensively. Hustles. If he hits he’s an all-star. A winning-type player.
Come on Rocky fan. You can't ASSURE anyone of an .500 season, especially in baseball.Q. Don’t get me wrong – I’ll support forever, but I don’t feel like giving my $ unless I can be assured more than 81 wins
Q. Would be Jhoulys (Chacin) be the 1st pitcher in the staff in 2014?
A. We have 4 guys who could be considered No. 1.
Oh...you meant for YOUR team.
It was? **** me the pitching has been bad. Runs to baseball-reference.com...Q. Rockies are consistently in the top 10 offensively (AVG) and bottom 10 for pitching (ERA). When will there be balance?
A. Last year was statistically the best pitching in our history. We should improve this year as well. We’re getting there.
I think LeMahieu is actually a pretty decent base stealer... But yeah, he can't hit.
rest - http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci...ies?source=navEverywhere Walt Weiss has gone, success has followed. Rookie of the year. World Series champion. Eight playoff berths. High school fields named in his honor. "Accidental" run-ins with rock star Bruce Springsteen. Weiss has a way about him, a way of producing results.
But to have seen him last Aug. 9 in the Rockies' dugout, his anger palpable after a 1-9 road trip, it was fair to wonder whether the challenge of going from Regis Jesuit High School to managing in the major leagues was too much.
Weiss conducted his only team meeting of the 2013 season that day, a watershed event he believes helped the Rockies finished with some fight, allowing them to enter spring training with optimism not held since 2010. Team owner Dick Monfort told fans on Twitter last week that if healthy, the Rockies will win 90 games this year. Weiss is careful not to predict a record — the Rockies haven't been in the playoffs since 2009 — but he isn't shying away from the confidence his boss espoused after an offseason roster makeover.

THIS ONES FOR JOHNWOULD YOU RATHER WIN UGLY, OR LOSE PRETTY?
I love Spring Training.
Couldn't find the video, but you reminded me of this episode of Seinfeld:
Nudist: They still have no pitching. Gooden’s a question mark. You don’t recover from those rotator cuffs so fast.
Jerry: I’m not worried about the Mets’ pitching. They got pitching. They got no hitting.
Nudist: No, they got hitting. Bonilla, Murray. They got no defense.
Jerry: Defense? Please. They need speed.
Nudist: Speed? They’ve got Coleman. They need a bullpen.
Jerry: Franco’s no good? They got no team leaders.
Nudist: They got Franco! What they need is a front office.
Jerry: But you gotta like their chances.
Nudist: I love their chances.
Jerry: If they win it this year, I’ll sit naked with you at the World Series.
Nudist: It’s a deal.
