rest - http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/...-outman/11795/After three extended spring training outings, Jorge De La Rosa will make his return to the mound in a game that counts, working five innings and roughly 70 pitches for Class-A Modesto on Wednesday.
A year removed from surgery, he’s anxious to begin his march back to the big leagues. His schedule is mapped out to make two starts apiece for Modesto, Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Colorado Springs. After his second start in Modesto, De La Rosa will throw a bullpen session in San Diego for the Rockies.
“I am excited about this,” De La Rosa said today. “My velocity has been OK. I am around 91 to 92 mph and have hit 93 mph. Everything is good.”
