3 way tie for first in the division, what's the magic number?![]()
Nice that the Rockies got three extra exhibition games before starting National League play. Kinda like starting your NFL schedule with the Browns.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
rest - http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/...-astros/11377/HOUSTON — Even when Jamie Moyer felt young, he was old. He made his first all-star game in 2003 at age 40. When he was introduced by Astros’ Hall of Famer broadcaster Milo Hamilton on Friday night, his age was the first thing mentioned, not his name.
“People having been saying I am too old for a long time,” Moyer said recently. “Eventually, they will be right.”
But not yet. Moyer will attempt to make history at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, trying to become the oldest pitcher to win a big league game. Moyer is 49 years and 141 days old. When Jack Quinn won for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932, he checked in at 49 years, 70 days.

I don't want to see Moyer start another game. Give him the long reliever slot. Batters have him figured out by the time they go the second time through the line-up

Defensive errors killed the Rockies in this series. That's what you get for crafting together an AL-style lineup. Nicasio had a solid outing though. Tough no-decision for him.

Brothers is still young. He had this issue last year. He's getting close to be able to pitch two days in a row, but he isn't quite ready for every other day, or every day yet.
