Based on the results of this poll, I like that our front office isn't the one making head scratching moves for once:

Looks like ROOT sports is going in a new direction with talent. Let go of Tom Helmer and Allana Rizzo. Helmer made me want to watch the post game shows, great energy.
I got mind control while I'm here
You goin' hate me when I'm gone
Ain't no blood clot and no fear
I got hope inside of my bones
Helmer is gone? And they are keeping the freaking goobers Mark Stout and Jeff Huson?? Ugh. Without Rizzo, Drew Goodman is the only thing holding that broadcast together. Everyone else is dead weight: Stout, Huson, Frazier, Ringolsby.

In regards to Allana, it was her choice:
http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/news...s_col&c_id=colDENVER -- Alanna Rizzo, sideline reporter for Rockies broadcasts on Root Sports Rocky Mountain and co-host of the network's Emmy Award-winning Rockies All-Access, is joining MLB Network's on-air team for the 2012 season. Root Sports made the announcement Wednesday.
Can not find out why they let Helmer go. I was going to send Root Sports an email blasting them, but can not even find out how to do that.

THIS ONES FOR JOHNWOULD YOU RATHER WIN UGLY, OR LOSE PRETTY?
The O's got fleeced. I can assure you that everyone in Orioles nation is mystified by this deal. Then again...I guess we're use to life with Angelos in power.
Guts is a good pitcher. I think a change of scenery will do him better. He certainly isnt as bad as his record states and he's definitely an upgrade over the 2 bums we got in return. Not an ace, but can be a solid #2 or #3
Buff, slim, Thnikkaman, Timmy!
Lindstrom might help your bullpen. He's got a live fastball and he typically pounds the strike zone... But like many power pitchers, he'd get shelled once guys were able to time his fastball because he doesn't have a great #2 pitch.
I really don't have anything good to say about Jason Hammel - sorry. He is just your classic #5 SP who has been holding on by a thread for the last few seasons. He'll occasionally string a couple of good starts together, but he'll never be anything more than a serviceable back-of-the-rotation guy.
I think if your pitching coach can help Hammel with his confidence, he can be good for you guys. In the years I have watched him pitch, he tends to pitch wonderfully well for 3-4 innings, has one bad inning, then settles back down. He may be excellent for you as a middle/long reliever.

We've had plenty of Hammel's over the years...I dont expect much out of him. not even sure he'll be a starter. With Matusz, Arrietta, Hunter, Britton, Eveland and the two new Japs vying for a spot...I think Hammel is destined for long relief
