Thread: The Official Colorado Rockies thread--Now with extra awesome!!

Honestly? I am SICK of hearing about this home plate thing. The call was made, we won the game. End of story. It seems to me that people are acting like the Rockies only won because of a lucky call, like there isnt any talent behind the win. Besides, the robbed home run was the 5TH time this season this has happened. 5 FREAKING TIMES a Rockies player has hit one out and it has been called a double. THREE of those five times were all hit by Garrett Atkins. Dare I say karma?

Anyway, I was so excited this morning I woke up well before the alarm clock, I dont know what I am going to do with myself these next couple of hours. I'm like a little kid waiting for Santa. I am so nervous though. I can't imagine what the team is feeling.

You are so right. There was a good chance that we were going to win that game. We were hitting Trevor like crazy and a base hit would have done it. Honestly, I think Mattie got his fingers in. I have the zoom on my tv and I watched it a couple times. It was a close call and I could have seen it go either way. But talent is what has taken this team far, and is what will take us further. We win our games because we go out there and play to win, not because of a lucky call. I am never going to forget Mattie diving head first and eating dirt like he did. The way he sat up and waited for the safe call before falling onto his back. Thats heart, and I know that every single one of our guys would have done the same thing.

I've finally recovered, somewhat, from Monday night's Rockies victory! Wow, what a game!!!!!!!! So, Go Rox win today in Philly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The home plate umpire has said that he would make the same call again.

Really, he was the one closest to it.

But, like Snapp said. We had batter still on deck, and outs to spare.
