Company after a win!
DLR tore his left elbow so he is done for the season. Big blow to the rotation. Cook can come off DL the 30th, hope he can provide something to help stabilize the rotation.
In other news Sky Sox catcher Jordan Pacheco will be on our show Wed at 9:35amMST, an Albuquerque native.
Wow, losing De La Rosa for the season is a huge blow if that's true. Now we have no choice but to get active in the trade market.
From what they were saying in the 1st game, after De La Rosa left the game, and before they knew the extent of the injury, Aaron Cook is already back (he was in the dugout), and they said if De La Rosa can not go for a while, Cook is ready.

A while is a calender year!
Really not surprised to see the Rocks being shut down by Joe Saunders, have not been able to build on anything this year after something good happens.
It's very frustrating watching this team this year. Its a long season, but then again, its a loooong season.
I got mind control while I'm here
You goin' hate me when I'm gone
Ain't no blood clot and no fear
I got hope inside of my bones
If Cook can't come in and light it up (I love the guy, but I'd say the chances are extremely small) there is no way the Rocks win the division, and a wildcard looks pretty unlikely at this point. Sure it's a long season, but I have a horrible feeling things might get worse......
rest of article - http://blogs.denverpost.com/rockies/...-rockies/7781/Looking to reinforce their bullpen after a doubleheader, the Rockies have promoted Bruce Billings for a long relief role and are strongly considering bringing Double-A fireballer Juan Nicasio to start Saturday.
Billings is in Denver and is expected to be activated today when Jorge De La Rosa lands on the disabled list with a torn elbow ligament that will require season-ending surgery. Billings has been a regular in the Triple-A rotation.

Question - does anyone think the problem with the offense is getting rid of Baylor as hitting coach? The Rockies hit great last year - SOMETHING HAPPENED TO CHANGE THAT.
