It sure did get exciting there at the end. 1 out, 2 on and couldnt' get them across with two strikeouts.
Well, we need a miracle now to make it. Sd is going to win their game. We will need Philly and SD to lose their last 2 and we need to win our last two. Then its all tie breakers.
Just looking at the NL west standings. Its SO nice to not be 19 out ( san fran )and last place like we usually are.
Hats off to the Rockies, and there is still a slim chance they can make it. The Rockies looked a little flat to me tonight, and it is very understandable when I heard that Arizona was already in Denver last night when the Rockies were just starting to play the game in LA, and the Rockies did not get home until 4:00 this morning.

Here's to all the cards falling into place and the Rockies somehow getting the wildcard spot![]()
GO D-BACKS!!!!
Jay Cutler quote....
"I'm getting more comfortable. Football is one of the biggest professions here in Colorado. Everyone knows who you are and expects big things from you after Elway. But this team has so much talent and so much experience, all I have to do is work hard and everything will take care of itself."
Thanks for the Alba sig showoff
Well have to throw the Mets in there now since they are a game behind the Phillies who lead the NL East.
Good quote from Tulo after the Dodger game, "Seems like if you win 11 in a row you would pass some teams"
Lot to look forward to and I sure will have both games on 2 TV's on Sunday. Rockies played their hearts out this year and just no one would help them out! Was great to have the feeling of actually playing meaningful games late in September! Hope the fans pack Coors Field the next two days and give the team the credit they deserve.
Who knows, anything can still happen...
"It's been a crazy year so far," manager Clint Hurdle said. "Maybe the craziness isn't over."

That was a tough loss. Hopefully the Mets continue their free fall and the Brewers play with a lot of pride and close strong. The odds are against it even though the Brewers have the best home record. The fact is that the Padres already won the first two games and the Brewers havent even seen their big guns yet. Hopefully Milwaukee plays their best players. Also, Arizona might now be playing loose since theve already punched their ticket. Hopefully the Rockies arent tight now.
:sniffle:
Tough loss. Great season. Can't complain too much.

Wow, is a 4 way tie possible? Can Phil, SD, Col and NY all end up with the same records tomorrow? Then what? Youd have a playoff to determine the NL East winner. Then what about the Rockies and Padres? Will they play a playoff for the WC at the same time with the winner of the two games advancing (since they have one more win via a playoff game)?

Rockies keep playoff hopes alive
After learning of Padres' loss, hammer D-backs in victory
By Thomas Harding / MLB.com
DENVER -- The Coors Field crowd of 47,383 exhaled with the pregame news that the Rockies still had a playoff chance, celebrated during a four-run first inning, and reached new decibels while serenading rookie Troy Tulowitzki for his sixth-inning grand slam in an 11-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.
And Sunday afternoon could mean higher-level screaming. If the Rockies beat the Diamondbacks again, and the Padres lose to the Brewers for the second straight day, the Rockies force themselves into tiebreaker action for the National League Wild Card berth.
It was the Rockies' 12th victory in 13 games, with the only loss being to the Diamondbacks on Friday night. But the Padres' 4-3, 11-inning loss to the Brewers on Saturday gave the D-backs the NL West title before the game, so they had nothing to play for while the Rockies needed the game desperately.
Matt Holliday knocked a two-run double in the first inning, Garrett Atkins added an RBI single and Chris Iannetta drove in another run with a fielder's choice that featured Brad Hawpe breaking up a double-play attempt. Holliday's 2-for-4 performance improved his batting average to an NL-leading .340, a point ahead of the Braves' Chipper Jones.
Hawpe added an RBI triple in the fifth off D-backs starter Edgar Gonzalez (8-4). Rockies starter Mark Redman (2-4, 2-0 since debuting with the Rockies on Sept. 7) gave up seven hits and one unearned run in five innings.
Tulowitzki's slam, which extended his NL rookie shortstop-record home run total to 24, came during a six-run Rockies fifth.
