December was great, which was important because they pay one month after the month closes, meaning even though I started the ads on December 1st, I will get paid the first week of February for the December ads -- 60 days with no income coming in.

January not so much.

Based on the reports they give me, it looks like December revenue will be around $350. They say they are estimates, so I will know for sure in the next week when the payments for December should hit my bank account.

January looks to be around $160.

So, it's really hard to say how things are going to ultimately pan out. My guess is that in the off season/non draft months (January, Feb, Mar, May, Jun, Jul) will be well below breakeven. I 'hope' that the in season months will be high enough to average out close to break even over the course of the year.

It's really hard to know right now.

Have you considered anymore, even if it's for the off season/non draft months) to go with both the ads and donations, or are you going to strictly go with ads?

I'd gladly donate to help make up what the ads don't cover on the months we don't break even.

I agree - and there are probably more out there who feel the same way.

Let me see how February comes out. If I don't run too far behind, then I can take the chance that I will make it up once traffic picks up during the regular season.
