I think this picture speaks volumes
Got that from Deadspin, along with this article:
Dont. Look. Behind. You.
I think it's safe to say Wade's days in Big D are numbered.

If Garrett decides to stay and be the OC, then I believe Phillips has another year to prove his worth. If Garrett decides to pursue a HC job elsewhere then possibly Jones could fire Phillips and move Garrett to HC of the Cowboys!!
I agree. Jerry needs to do all he can to keep Jason Garrett around.

I don't see what the infatuation with Garrett is. The guy is overrated.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has decided that head coach Wade Phillips will return next season despite the team's 34-3 loss Sunday to the Minnesota Vikings, a high-ranking team source said Monday.
In 13 years one coach has won a playoff game for Dallas...
I'm just saying, Phillips isn't that bad of a head coach. He's just...kinda average. You have to ask yourself how much was this loss on WP and how much of it was on the team. I don't think the issue was preparation. I don't think the Cowboys had a bad game plan.
I am a Tony Romo supporter, I love the dude, but he has to hang onto the damn ball.
I'm not saying you have to keep him, I'm just saying that Jerry Jones makes really good decisions when he mulls them over. He made the gutsy call to can T.O. and he had great results because of it.
He also had a few weeks of bad WR production and traded the farm for Roy Williams.....
They need to chill out and figure it out.
And I do agree, Garrett is way overrated. I think he's the next Marvin Lewis.
I'm a big fan of Bum Phillips and so I'm sympathetic to Bum's son but everywhere he goes, his teams don't perform up to the hype ... Denver, Buffalo, San Diego, Dallas.
Here in Denver, he's the guy that transitioned between Dan Reeves and Mike Shanahan. In Dallas, he'll be the guy that transitioned between Bill Parcells and Bill Cowher.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
I just saw on ESPN's bottom line ticker that Wade Phillips is back for next season.
Jones is committed to Garrett and as long as he is the OC there, he will always be next in line to be the HC. If Phillips get dropped, I just dont see any high profile HC's seeking that position. Jones just refuses to give up too much power.
