Thread: What position is historically least likely to be a bust?

I am betting it isn't QB

I heard someplace a few years ago that it was OLinemen. I am sure you guys know better than me.

I would guess Guard or Center. It is hard to be a big stiff there but
i am sure there are some.

I don't think there is a position that is safe... but if I had to guess I would say Safety

As far as the first round goes...tackle.

Certainly not "safe," it's always a gamble, but:

Runningbacks are fairly safe.


Least safe is QB and corner Id think.

personally i'd feel safest with a LB, RB, or S

LB and S are mostly read and react and if they can do it in college, they can usually do it on the next level.

RB is all about vision and ability, which also translates from college to the pros. though the holes are smaller, and the hitting is harder, it's usually a pretty smooth transition.

to me the most busty positions are QB, WR, and DT
