In episode #99 Neko and I talk a bit about the late Julie Strain and her impact not only in film but fantasy concept art and modeling. Also, Marco Hietala leaves Nightwish and the reason is a bit surprising.

Netflix prepares to release a new movie every week in 2021 and we break down the various actors and actresses that will appear in some originals and other slated projects this year. Also speaking of Netlfix the new limited series "Night Stalker" is reviewed regarding serial killer Richard Ramirez who stalked and terrorized parts of California in the 1980's.

Finally, there has been a resurgence of interest in the 1980's tv series "Werewolf" and it brings a smile to this guy's face in hopes that it can be transformed back from the dead and re-released to the public.

Special thanks to Hardlife Promotions, MDRP, Grand Sounds Promotion, Metal Message, and Qabar PR for selected tracks this week.

Decided that we aren't saving anything for the next album.
It will be roughly an hour long.

    Drums and bass are done.
Roughly half the vocals are done.

Aaron recorded 5 songs on guitar Sunday.
    7 songs left for him.

Lead guitarist will be on at least 3 songs.

Our other rhythm guitarist is expected to be on some of the songs.

Still anticipating album completion in the spring, but maybe it will be late spring.

Getting closer, but there are 3 more songs for Aaron on rhythm guitar, some odds and ends and 2 songs for Aaron to do vocals on before we finish with Dean on lead guitar.

Starting to kick around ideas for cover art.
It will be worth the wait.

In a move he will regret, the guy who was supposed to be our 2nd rhythm guitarist on the album backed out. Dumb ass.

No loss on our end. Aaron is recording 2 rhythm parts on the songs.

Absolutely insane thing.... I was originally going to do vocals on 1 song..... ended up recording vocals on NINE songs. Unreal. I went from terrified to fearless.
This album is my art. My soul. Fu** it.... we like it. Definitely stepped out of the box on this album.

Finished this one yesterday. I love what Aaron came up with on guitar. Never done a song like this.

This is the 1st time I recorded a song using an app as opposed to using my bass head direct or a miced amp.
Ampeg SVT app. Glad our engineer/ drummer talked me into trying it.

In this episode Neko and I discuss March Madness 2021, 2 years after our Virginia Cavaliers won the national title and things got put on hold with Covid.

We also discuss the possibility of a 3rd movie in the Ace Ventura franchise that could be coming. Will it continue with the same type of comedy as the first 2 or will it be a watered down "woke" type of movie. We debate whether its even a good idea at this stage.

Netflix has a documentary on one of Neko's favorite actresses in Audrey Hepburn but we get more than we bargained for when discovering who she really was behind the camera. In our Retro Dvd Movie Vault Neko pulls out "The Departed" just in time for St. Patricks Day. Does the movie still hold up? You decide.

And finally a new book coming out called "Nothing but a Good Time: The Uncensored History of the 80's Hard Rock Explosion" is getting released. But the real story is in one of the bands whom nobody expected. Lets just say they came with a yellow and black attack!

    That's a pretty good hook.

I have a guess who this is...
