On this episode DJ Neko calls in from the shores of Hong Kong to help me discuss the legacy of John Carpenter's 1982 film "The Thing" as well as the 2019 Grammy Nominated metal bands including Death Angel and Candlemass.

I also go on a rant involving the controversy of the Charlie's Angel's reboot directed by Elizabeth Banks and her problematic accusations of why the film bombed at the box office. In music news i discuss topics involving Necromantia, Dragged into Sunlight, Motley Crue, Prong, and Life of Agony. Is the fact that Mina Caputo a trans sensationalism or simply awareness and cause for celebration?

Many thanks to Curtain Call Records, Grand Sounds Promotions, Horror Pain Gore Death, Inverse Records, Metal Coffee PR, Qabar Extreme Music PR, Rebel Pyro Musik, and Kostas Salomidis for selected tracks on this week's episode.

Annihilation Principle is still one of my favorite thrash records to this day. Their 2008 comeback release "Left for Dead" wasnt bad either.

In this episode we say goodbye to internet sensation Lil Bub.

Also, Slayer retires and Megadeth plan on releasing a new record in January even as Mustaine battles throat cancer. Is the media unfair to Alissa White-Gluz or has research shown that some of the criticisms are warranted? You be the judge. Joe Satriani is re-releasing "Surfing with the Alien" but had to ditch the surfboard for a guitar, find out why.

I know i know, more Godzilla and Kong but a lady is about to jump into the fray! New trailer for Marvel's Black Widow and there is rumors of a Ace Ventura 3. To Carrey or not to Carrey that is the question.

In this episode i give my review of the movie "Knives Out" starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans, and Toni Collette. Also, James Bond has No Time to Die and Captain Picard returns.

Does money change artists? Does it make them less angry than before? According to Destruction's Marcel it plays a factor as he faces criticism for even mentioning it. Devin Townsend toys with the idea of revisiting his material from Strapping Young Lad and Uada gets hot under the collar about a recent performance.

And the movie Little Women is about to be released and while it is getting great praise by critics my girl Emma Watson isnt getting nearly the same kind of love thus far.

Special thanks to Sky Nielsen Promotions as wells Grand Sound Promotions, Inverse Records, and Vlad Promotions for selected tracks this week.

I've only listened to your podcasts a couple of times, mainly because our taste in music is about as opposite as possible.

But, I clicked on your link and listened this time. No offense intended at all, but your voice sounds a bit like Mahomes.

I still don't like heavy metal though...

I often forgot that Joe is middle-aged. I don't think of him being that old. I think of him being in his late 30's or early 40's, and that's why it hurts me so when he looks down at me and says I've no life experiences. I'm like shut it, you're barely old than I am.

    I love me some Joe.

In this episode i talk a bit about the trailers for Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Wonder Woman 84'. Also, season 2 of Miracles Workers has Daniel Radcliffe working in the Dark Ages. Also, Tarantino strongly considering doing Kill Bill 3.

The widow of Chris Cornell is suing the rest of Soundgarden for previously unreleased music because the lack of getting royalties. There is going to be a Dune reboot and according to the new director its going to be more brutal, shocking, and scarier than the original. Guess we will be the judge of that eh?

Finally, i give my review of the documentary Gary Numan: Android in La La Land and how Numan's life mirrors somewhat the life of yours truly. Tune in as we travel down an emotional path that i was not expecting.

Did you cover the Rush documentary in a previous episode? I just watched that one. Might be interesting to hear your take.
