What? Ignore the points in a post but say something sarcastic or belittling about another poster's opinions. More and more of that around here lately.
There's plenty of evidence that over...
To an outsider assessing this teams needs going into '09 we would have appeared VERY weak at RB. What did Hillis have, 3 good games in 08 after converting from fullback due to injuries? Hardly...
So happy to see Richt get the team to fight back after starting 0-2 following the worst year of his career. Hope we put up a fight in the SEC title game.
...
I haven't enjoyed a win that much since we beat San Diego to move to 6-0 in 09. Big, clutch win Broncos!
Again, no one said the SEC has an NFL caliber DEFENSE, only more NFL caliber DEFENDERS. Two different words. You're still missing the point. And you don't need to talk down to those who don't...
No one has even suggested otherwise. You all totally missed the point of the argument.
What got this all started was someone saying the caliber of DEFENDER hitting Moreno is different now and...
They were saying the same things about Darren McFadden for his first couple years as well. And for many of the same reasons: injuries, a really sorry supporting cast, and constant scheme changes due...
The answer to all three of your questions is the same: A Lot. No one is saying it's the NFL. Only that they produce more NFL talent than any other college conference.
The SEC offers the...
Ummm.....OK, I sense an anti-SEC bias.
But seriously, that's a theory that can never be proven. Which is probably a good thing for you. I think last year's Broncos team would have struggled...
If Georgia plays like they did against Auburn, they will be a very tough opponent in the SEC title game. Our D has really been coming on, up to 4th nationally. We haven't played like that...
Not even close? Please. You mean to tell me when Moreno played defenses from Auburn, Alabama, Florida, LSU, Tennessee week in week out he didn't face NFL talent? How many future first round draft...
I disagree. If anything, players that come from the SEC are used to facing NFL caliber defenders.
I'm bummed more than most. Too bad for Knowshon and I hope to see him back at full strength next year. For a player who has been dinged up a lot in the pros, this is his first major injury. He was...
Yeah Fox is really proving he knows how to put the best players on the field.
See: Quarterback
He's really holding this sleeping juggernaut of a team back.
Thanks for the professional scouting report. I guess they'll cut him tomorrow.
:2thumbsdown:
That's been a huge issue here and wouldn't it be nice if we had a system like those teams? They have done a really poor job of varying the type of touches and not just for Moreno. The runs he got...
To an outsider (McDaniels) the RB depth chart would have appeared to be in shambles. Peyton Hillis? Yeah we were really set with the late round pick who had just had three good games in a system...
Go look at his career stats and tell me it's not respectable given his supporting cast, the offensive system and the general chaos around this team since he was drafted.
Horrible as a runner? ...
I agree McDaniels botched a lot of picks, but he drafted Moreno about where he was rated by scouts and draft experts. It was considered a solid pick at the time and one at a position of need.
...
But, but, but......he was a first round pick and doesn't break big runs, so he has to be a terrible player.
By god he better get 150 total yards and 2 TD's every week or he's a bust right?
...
They have been playing a lot better. Still too many big plays and mistakes/penalties though. The thing I'm most excited about is Isaiah Crowell, who has definitely lived up to the hype. I just...
Have fun with that. ;) I'm really glad UGA didn't draw either team on the schedule this year. I like our chances to win the east knowing S. Car still has those games left.
My sleeper team should the SEC add a 14th team.
Also, Georgia took another small step forward. Congrats to coach Richt on win 100. We still play 3 currently ranked teams for a total of 6 (are...
