Broncos sign LB Peter Kalambayi

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos have added depth to their linebacking corps.
Denver signed linebacker Peter Kalambayi on Monday, the Broncos announced. The team also waived defensive back Chris Cooper in a corresponding roster move.
Kalambayi, a 2018 sixth-round pick, has appeared in 41 games for Houston over the last three seasons and recorded 33 combined tackles. Kalambayi has played 784 special teams snaps over the last three seasons, according to Pro Football Reference, and he played more than 60 percent of the snaps for that unit in both 2018 and 2019. Kalambayi played 45 percent of the Texans' special teams snaps in just 10 games in 2020.
The 6-foot-3, 254-pound linebacker played his collegiate football at Stanford and is from North Carolina.
Kalambayi wore No. 62 during the Broncos' practice on Monday.

Broncos sign WRs Amara Darboh and De'Mornay Pierson-El
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — As the Broncos' offseason program comes to a close, the team has added a pair of wide receivers to its roster.

Denver signed Amara Darboh and De'Mornay Pierson-El to its 90-man roster, the team announced Thursday.
The Broncos waived punter Max Duffy and designated linebacker Natrez Patrick as waived/injured in corresponding roster moves.
Both Darboh and Pierson-El participated as tryout players in the Broncos' two-day mandatory minicamp.
Darboh, a 2017 third-round pick from Michigan, appeared in 16 games as a rookie for the Seahawks and caught eight passes for 71 yards. He spent time on the Buccaneers', Steelers' and Panthers' practice squads over the previous two seasons.
Pierson-El, who entered the league as an undrafted played in 2018, has spent brief stints on NFL practice squads and also played in the Alliance of American Football, the XFL and the Canadian Football League. The Nebraska product ranked sixth in the AAF in receiving in 2019.
The Broncos now have 15 wide receivers on their 90-man roster.
