What car sold more than one million units in 1965, setting a record that still stands today?
Off the top, maybe Chevrolet? Its Impala was the most popular model for a long time.

Well, you don't have to give the answer. Just right or wrong?

You are right, and I am gonna give the answer, because it's interesting
In 1965, the Chevrolet Impala sold more than one million units in North America, setting a record that still stands today. Originally introduced in 1958, the Impala was the best-selling automobile in the United States during the 1960s. Early Impala models sported six taillights, a unique feature which, for a time, became the Impala trademark. The Impala was named after an African antelope.
Okay, in the early 1960s, the flagship car for American Motors was the
Rambler. What was the name of their top line car?
-----
No and no. :D
-----
Nash ?
.
Nope. It was the Ambassador. CEO of American Motors (AMC) at the time was
George Romney. He eventually quit to go into politics and ended up as a
Presidential candidate. That was a real blow to AMC, and after a period of
explosive growth and popularity, they seemed to turn back downhill at the
time. The corporation was finally bought out by Chrysler, who years later, of
course, was bought out by Mercedes. The only vestige left of AMC is Jeep.
I had a 1962 AMC Ambassador, I guess it was about 1965, a station wagon
Not very sexy for a 20-year-old, I'll admit. I was choosing between that and
a Jaguar XKE. I wanted the XKE desperately, but I sang in a country band at
the time, and the Jag would not accommodate all the gear I had to take
with me. So I took the wagon.
The Ambassador was a lovely car, but I have regretted not getting the Jag
ever since.

Yes, the Valiant was a Plymouth. Believe it or not, the Valiant is still around
today, just under a different name and cover. It evolved into what was known
as the "K Car," the small sized car produced by Plymouth and Dodge. Its
chassis was used to create the minivan, which was produced first by Chrysler
Corporation (if you don't count the VW bus). Now it runs around under the
skin of not only the Dodge Caravan, but also the PT Cruiser.
Now, that's longevity ;)

In 1953, Chevy launched the Corvette.
How did model get it's name?
Myron Scott -- photographer who named Corvette
Myron ScottDETROIT — Myron E. Scott, a newspaper photographer who created the Chevrolet-sponsored All-American Soap Box Derby and later named its equally All-American sports car -- the Corvette -- died at his home on Sunday, September 4 in Kettering (outside Dayton) Ohio. He was 91.

The first Chevrolet Corvette rolled off the production line on June 30, 1953, at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan. Only 300 Corvettes were built that year (each of them by hand), making this the rarest Corvette. Each fiberglass-bodied two-seater was white with a red interior and a black canvas top. The 1953 Corvette featured a Powerglide automatic transmission and a "Blue Flame" six cylinder 235ci 150 hp engine with three carburetors and dual exhaust.
Mtn - you are really making me work tonight
The Opel project sports car prototype is named Corvette, after a light fast type of World War II warship. The name was suggested by Myron Scott, employee of Campbell-Ewald, Chevrolet's advertising agency. Strong consideration had been given to naming the car "Corvair". Chevrolet executives wanted a "C" word, and rejected 1500 suggestions.
