He helps one kid with his arm slot, another with his weight transfer. He dispenses advice and encouragement with a soft voice and a boyish face, even with a new beard coming in.
He has counsel that could have a much more far-reaching impact, but will hold off on that until later in the season.
“I want to teach them how to relax,” Taylor Buchholz says. “I know when I was at my best, I was relaxed out there. That’s when I had the best focus.”
