I’m all for replacing Lock ... just not with the same utterly replaceable shit that Lock replaced.

There is zero logical reason to give a draft pick for the kind of player you can sign as an undrafted free agent ... unless your goal is actually not finding an answer from Lock into perpetuity.
Y’all actually got me hoping the Broncos draft Mac Jones at 9, damn yous!

Well, this is a whore of a good time in here.
I'm torn between not really liking Mac Jones while also wanting to see jaded's head explode.
We don’t need to bring in a mediocre player to motivate Lock! Lock knows this GM didn’t draft him, he also knows this GM entertained a couple quarterbacks this off season so he knows his job has to be earned, he knows if he doesn’t produce this year then he’s going to **** around and get swapped out. Paton has already stated that we’re not going to make a move just for the hell of it.
Again, Lock knows his job is on the line if he doesn’t show a lot of growth this year.
Doesn't mean Denver shouldn't give themselves options in the case Lock sucks balls. I don't really care about the "motivating Lock" factor. That's on him at this point. But the Broncos need to give themselves every chance to win football games, and that includes having a competent guy who can come in if Lock gets hurt or simply can't cut it.
Look...Minshew is an option if we can't land a top QB in the draft. One way or another, the QB room needs to improve. If we can't do it in the draft, then we have to explore other options. As it stands, Minshew is one of the better options. Again...if we can add a QB in the first, then this is an irrelevant point. But at the moment, things don't look great when it comes to landing one of the top 4 QBs. (Yes, I leave Lance off this list because he needs time we don't have)
