USA beat the Russians in shootout (7th round) to advance to the gold medal game.
Gold medal game tonight, socialists vs capitalists
Yes the USA team is very good and play together most of the year in the National program. The USA's program is really good, I wish the Canadians could do that but it just wouldn't work with our Junior leagues, college is a very different situation. If you are able to watch the game, watch Greenway and White for the American team, both are very good and Greenway is going to be a beast.
I watched both games yesterday and they were awesome, two of the best games I've seen in any of these tournaments. The only thing I could say that wasn't great was the officiating, the ref's were pretty bad. I really hope they don't decide the outcome of tonight's game.
I predict a 5-3 win for the USA
I feel like I'm having a stroke!!!
I need a Troy Terry jersey.
That was a great game. I knew the Canadians were going to blow the lead because the defense kept pinching. What the hell kind of coaching is that, you have a two goal lead in the 3rd and your telling your d-men to pinch and try to get offense going.. he lost that game for them. Once it went into shootout I knew the USA had it, the Canadians didn't have skilled players, they were all mid level guys. The highest drafted player on that team is a 3rd rounder.
Great game though
I've seen A LOT of hockey games. That was one of the most exciting ones I've seen in a while!
How do y'all watch these?
I know it was on the NHL network in the USA
Both of my step sons played organized hockey from 5yrs of age. Both stared in Minnesota HS and both played Junior Hockey in both the States and Canada.
That's A LOT of games!
Plus, we have the University of North Dakota hockey right here in town and also hosted the World Juniors a few years back.
