Topper....can't believe he's gone. 14 years of friendship. Just as long giving him shit over his ardent love for middle of the road qb's. No matter how long of a break he took, he always came back with a sweet pm or mhs just checking in. He loved to mix it up, he was the good kind of ornery. Sometimes, he held a grudge, but if you were sweet to him, he'd drop it. I'll miss his coffee guy, his wheelchair responses to West, and even his love of all things fainting goat. We've lost a staple here and a good friend. He was the grandpa around here. Good to shoot the shit with and also a get off my lawn
guy sometimes. I'll miss his sometimes passive aggressive nature because it was just so him and even though it would drive ya nuts, it was oddly endearing. I'm happy you are no longer in pain, friend. Wishing good thoughts for his family during a rough holiday season.

Whoa! I just saw this. I continuously visit this and the other Broncos site as much as I can specifically because of people like Top. He and I playful ribbed our teams and each other and our friendly banter always made me smile. Even though we get a mere glimpse of a person on the web, sometimes you can tell who the genuine people are and I know from the beginning that he was a genuinely kind soul. I respected him as much as any fellow and rival fan I've encountered. I'm crushed.

Please give his family my condolences, and that extends to those in here who knew him personally outside of the web, as I wish I did.

So heartbroken.

Always respected his opinion whether I agreed with it or not. And I don’t do that for everyone. He was just that kind of guy. Take care Top.

RIP Top aka Larry!! We didn't always agree, but I always respected Top and his opinions and input. Top, you will be missed!

Just saw this - terrible news. Top and I have been friendly since he first registered on the old forums 13 years ago. Throughout the next handful of years, we routinely went back and forth on every possible Broncos subject and stayed in regular contact via PM. Though we drifted apart once this forum started up, we did still stay in touch and he was always someone I respected. While I'm happy he's no longer in pain, it certainly feels like he has gone too soon. On behalf of myself and everyone else who was friendly with him over on BCMB, rest easy top. :(

I just saw this and am saddened to hear the news...

Topscribe and I used to mix it up in the P&R section of Mania, or Broncos Country, or whatever they call it nowadays... We never agreed on a single thing... Until the moderators started to stifle any sort of debate or P&R content -- then we sort of had each other's backs... We found common ground in our commitment to disagreeing with one another.

Top was the person who invited me to join Broncos Forums - at first I suspect it was because they needed a token lib to liven up the P&R discussion - but on some level I like to think it was because Top enjoyed our debates... Over a decade later, and I still visit this place nearly every day and it all started because I wanted to come here and argue about politics and religion with Topscribe.

He'll be missed as the patriarch of this crazy BF family we have here.

Sometimes it's easy to think things will stay the same forever. I haven't been here in years, but I see the same faces, flashes from the past. Top was as much of that as any other. Hard to believe he's gone.
