I’m just bitter because I was both right and hated!!! I have feelings!

Yeah, it's always been an issue. It's why Seattle's obsession with getting him a dominant TE was always kind of hilarious. But, he has to hit some of those guys when they're open; they're open there a lot. I presume teams know it's not a strength of his and probably devout less attention to it. Best of luck, big dog.

He just has to move the ball more. 200 yards a game won't cut it, and he has to see some of the guys who are open in the middle of the field.

Yeah the TE crop was overrated to me: feels like a repeat from 2017 where they are hyped up, they’ll be above average, one will be special, but I had a hard time putting any of them in the first round.

Pure slot WR? If not Rice took so many snaps there it’s him; larry Fitzgerald has the same argument

Pure slot WR: it feels like that crazy run Wes Welker had and the playoff success makes it hard to argue otherwise.

    I'm dubious.

You ever notice how GOAT conversations change over time, even when the participants haven't played in forever? When I was watching football in the 2010's the default answer was Reggie White, and now it seems to have swung back to Lawrence Taylor. For RB the default answer was Brown, then Payton, and now it seems to have gone back to Brown.

You think the sportswriters and pundits just get bored and need content?

I don't have an issue with an experienced coach, but I need to see something special in them. Did they get a raw deal and overachieve even if the results weren't great (Shanahan)? Did they coach at an elite level and it just became a 'you've been here a little too long/the message is old/a bit of both' (Reid)? Wilks falls into the first category (if it worked out and he was legit) and I think other guys could fall into that second mold. Honestly, there has to be a basis. Caldwell wasn't a loser but he wasn't great, either. Quinn is the solid guy...but greatness? No.

Chiefs fans rag on Reid, but they don't know how great it was for them to land him.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
