Last time I was laid off that happened (regarding your question from the Bush thread)! I'm not a govt worker, I'm a IBEW electrician that works off the book system and relies on companies to hire! When they're done with you, it's down the road, been doing it for 11 yrs now and this is the longest I've been laid off in my life! I'm rethinking my career path because I like being a sparky but it's get old working this way!! When we move to Alaska in about 6 months, I'll keep my electrical license but may go back to school for a different career.....don't know that yet!!
