Disagree with what you said in the salute. It is a place for public debate, not public rebuke. And if I saw that when I was a mod, I would have been on it like white on salt (probably against both sides, to be honest). But I do have a great amount of respect for you, and I thank you for the correction. It was well taken.

Thanks Joe. When you get to my age, I generally don't look forward to them. Fortunately this was a good one. My people took good care of me.

I made the error of making that thread. I left P and R for a variety of reasons, and that thread, while not being in P and R, really was, for all practical reasons, a P and R thread. I am a forceful debater, a wise ass, and stubborn. I like to use logic in an attacking way, and it's a personality flaw. Truth be told I spent a lot of time and energy debating in school, in politics, and online. It even extends to debating on football forums and even on FB. One could accurately say that I'm addicted to it.

So, I always tell myself that I will stay out of the debate threads and have fun in the non-football forums, but that just doesn't work out. I'll make it a point to try harder, though.

Joe, I do like you, a lot. We disagree, and we're not changing one another's mind. I offer you this as a more nuanced position - you are right that when you are a parent your world changes. I'm 27, I'm seeing what happens to my friend's lives when they have kids. They love being parents, and things that did not bother them before makes them a little hesitant now. But the real point is that from a logical perspective one should not care if their child, at a correct age, is having sex in the way that they want. Of course that thought will make us squeamish, but anal sex is just like ordinary sex in that sense. If they, either one of them, can deal with any pain or discomfort that might occur, that's their choice.
