on your last mhs, if yoiu remember, pretty funny, but honestly, I could care less how that might come off to others. Not a big fan of alot of active posters these days. but I ffor one do appreciate your groundedness and consideration

I unintentionally attacked you by wording a sentence like a moron. I'm sorry. I would like for you to read the first post #61, on that page. If you're willing, that is.
  4. Thanks, man, I'll likely need that next week for the Broncos AND Texans; dunno if the NFL's clamped down on them or what, but firstrows whole site has been going down on me all weekend. I missed nearly all the highlight reel plays in the Broncos AND Texans games, and one, probably both, of those were games that will be forever legendary in each teams history.

Hey, saw you needed a stream while reading the thread late since I was watching the game. I know it's late, but there's always next week!

    I use that with Firefox.

Enjoy. You're always a great contribution.
  6. LOL never thought about Denver being Neal Cassadys old stomping grounds (he's probably still wanted for a few "borrowed" vehicles.) The link was supposed to be to the start of On the Roads ninth chapter (which naturally takes place in CO:)

"Sal," he cried, clutching my arm, "just look at this old town. Think how it was a hundred — what the hell, only eighty, sixty years ago; they had opera!"

"Yeah," I said, imitating one of his characters, "but they're here."

    "The b------s," he cursed.

Couldn't help thinking of that line after your tongue in cheek crack about the Miller fans spoiling it, especially since that's a favorite section of my (Aggie) best friend who introduced me to Keroaucs work. Just look at this old town. Think how it was a hundred — what the hell, only eighty, sixty years ago; they had Kerouac!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to escape all this serendipitous synchronicity before I drown.

I'm a huge Kerouac fan. Have been since early HS. My grandmother has an interesting story of Kerouac at a bar in Denver (now Chapultopec Jazz bar). Why the link in the MHS? It only went to the cover.

I'd just like to say I like all of your posts. They are very thorough and well thought out.

DJ works really hard and is out there playing his heart out, but gets very few props for it and a lot of harsh statements. He did a good job and was doing a great job before he got hurt in pre-season. You could see a giant monkey get off his back today with that strip. So happy for him, thank you for the thread....p
