ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) ―Just what the Broncos didn't need heading into the biggest game of the season. CBS4 Broncos Insider Gary Miller reports that receiver Brandon Marshall strained his right hamstring during Wednesday's practice.

The injury occurred during the early moments of practice that is open to the media. Marshall was running a route when he came up limping. He went to the sideline where he was tended to by the Broncos training staff. He did not return to the field before the media's time to watch practice ended.

The extent of the injury or his status going forward to Sunday's game is unknown at this point. The Broncos are required to issue an injury report after today's practice.

Just got this text, too. Most of the games that decide our season are before ours (except the Jets/Bengals game that got flexed). Hopefully if its not too bad he can play if our playoff scenarios look likely. Otherwise, he should take it easy.

That sucks, regardless of what happens in the other games i would still like to beat KC and he will be important for that.

We still beat KC, as long as Stokely doesnt punch the ref.

Josh will get to see what his offense looks like without Brandon.

I believe that's the most important and hopefully Marshall can play. I believe BRONCOS playoffs went bye-bye with the Raiders loss.

well good thing that our offense has a stud qb that can carry a team! marshall being out no big deal. like mcd said, its not about a player its about the system we run!

:tsk:

I think your right on with most of these post but it's not going to change the fact that mcd is here and cutler is gone. Maybe it's time to just let it go and see if this turns into the mess we think it will or we are wrong and mcd builds us a SB team.

i think our hopes went bye the week of the bye, we were hot then and seemed like we let off the gas! and its been hard for this team to get it going again! seen some glimpses of it last week but the offense failed to move the ball a couple of times with good field position and seemed to let the defense down!

Marshall expected to play

Brandon Marshall's practice injury should not prevent him from playing this week.

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi, citing a team source, reports that Marshall will suit up for the season finale against the Chiefs. Marshall left practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury.

The newly minted Pro Bowler should help the slumping Broncos against the 30th-ranked Chiefs defense. Denver still has a decent chance to make the playoffs if it can improve to 9-7.

Marshall is over 100 receptions for the third straight year and caught seven passes for 94 yards and a score in Denver's 44-13 victory in Kansas City in Week Twelve.
