In no particular order and some past 25 years

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
GnR - Mr Brownstone, Paradise City
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Ozzy - Suicide Solution
Rush - Temples of Syrnix
Queen - Tie your mother down, and anything pre-1980. I loved Old Queen. Freddie Mercury was the best performer I ever saw live. Just awesome. Night of the Opera tour was phenomenal.
Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
Aerosmith - Trains kept a rollin

Nice-- I thought about Sunday Bloody Sunday

But anything pre-1980 stopped being music of the last 25 years 3 years ago ;) You've gotta save some of your list for the "Greatest Music of the last 38 years" thread... The whole point of cuttin it off at 25 was to keep the 70's out of this (Too much good stuff, and most people's lists are heavy on the 70's classic stuff so it's hard to choose).

I'm an old time rocker. I will not listen to todays music. Ive listened to some Nickelback and stuff like that. I'm pretty much committed to my music like I am to my sports teams.

Nice, yeah my list could change daily as well.. Hell, I'm already thinking of editing The Verve out of mine, great song, but is it really in my top 10 in the last 25 years??

I also couldn't decide between Today, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, or 1979, so I just ended up leaving the Pumpkins off my list, which probably isn't right...

I guess my mood today dictated Today being on there. It could be Zero, Here is No Why, Bullet, 1979, Mayonnaise, Disarm, Cherub Rock...

Dude, I couldnt even tell you the popular bands right now. I am caught up in the older stuff. To much good music to sift thru.

I still think of Alice in Chains as a newer band. Mad Season deserves a slot on there too. I cannot believe they didnt make more of an impact.

1) Any Tool song
2) Shadow of the Sun-Audioslave
3) Long Gone Days-Mad Seasons(the whole CD is great)
4) Elephant Ghost, Scott Taylor-Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains
5)Waiting Phase 1 and 2-Porcupine Tree
6) Everything in it's Right Place-Radiohead
7) Twist of Cain-Danzig
8) Spill the Blood-Slayer
9) Renegades of Funk-Rage Against the Machine
10) Don't Change-INXS

It's really tough to do a top 10 and not include songs older than 25 years, I love so many bands from years past.

That last INXS song is from 1982 but I can't keep it off my list.

I almost threw "Reign in Blood", or "Angel of Death" In my list, but I always feel guilty listening to Slayer. I guess there are ten Anthrax songs I could put in there as well.

"3) Long Gone Days-Mad Seasons(the whole CD is great)" Thank God someone else knows who they are, The time that CD was released was special to me. All the songs on that CD was great. Great choices.

If I was stranded on a deserted island and could only have 1 CD to listen to, It'd be that one. Love it. Freakin Layne and his heroin addiction. I had tickets to see them(AIC) on 4 occasions and every time shows were canceled so he could go to rehab or sit in his house and shoot up.

Slayer more so when I was younger, but Dave Lombardo's drumming is undeniable.

Couple bands not mentioned yet....Pantera, Mudvayne, Type O Negative, Stone Temple Pilots.

Good point. If you asked everyone who made a list the same question a month from now, you'd see different lists IMO.

I'm moody when it comes to music, I think we all are. Sometimes it's heavy, sometimes not. One thing I do see is a pretty wide range of taste.

Type O, Pantera, STP, I agree, great bands. Not really familiar Mudvayne, but I'll check it out.

We were gonna go snorkeling when we were down in Cancun for spring break our first year, but we went to the stinkin ruins instead.

This is why you don't go on spring break with really smart people, one guy actually asked us to keep it down because we were scaring all the birds away.

So this is in alphebetical order more than likely because i'm too lazy to rank em.

Alice in Chains - No Excuses
The Apples in Stereo - Same Old Drag
Beastie Boys - Sabotage
Chronic Future - Time and Time Again
The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love
De La Soul - Me Myself and I

Guns N' Roses - November Rain; Civil War
Modest Mouse - Dramamine

And that's a little more than 10 :P. But it's quite hard to narrow it all down. I would put some Tool on there but I don't know the names of their songs because i've never really attempted to get into them so much. Just hear the radio and stuff.
