Using my data entry and basic Excel skills I calculated win/loss records over the last 30 seasons or so. It shows which teams are consistantly winning versus teams that are just flashes in the pan.
W-L-T 1980 through 2008
49ers 277-178-1
Broncos 272-183-1
Steelers 264-191-1
Dolphins 261-194-1
Cowboys 251-205-0
Eagles 248-204-4
Patriots 248-208-0
Giants 244-210-2
Vikings 244-212-0
Packers 242-211-3
Redskins 242-213-1
Bears 239-217-0
Chiefs 234-221-1
Oilers/Titans 233-223-0
Bills 232-224-0
Raiders 228-228-0
Browns/Ravens 225-229-2
Seahawks 225-231-0
Colts 221-234-1
Chargers 218-238-0
Rams 214-242-0
Jets 209-245-2
Saints 208-248-0
Falcons 195-259-2
Bengals 191-264-1
Buccaneers 188-267-1
Lions 180-275-1
Cardinals 172-282-2
There were a few teams that had suprising records...the Dolphins-they were better than I expected, and the Colts-even for having the most wins this decade, they really sucked balls in the 80's and 90's.
