Did anyone see in one of the last couple of issues of The Sporting News where they ranked the best SB teams? They had Denver's '98 team at #5. Its nice to see that squad not get overlooked. TSN has slightly redeemed itself for that.

#5 all-time. Great!

BTW WTE, that would rank, ohhh at least 42 spots above this years patriots!

Yeah, it said something about a HOF QB, an all pro RB, and a very good defense.

This is happy news for me. They deserve to be remembered for the achievements that year.

Well, TD's 2,008 yards wasn't the best single season mark, it was the best season if you count the yards he got in the playoffs (2,476).......I think.

He also only played the equivalent of 14 games due to blowouts.

That team was like a well oiled machine. Seems like we always scored on the opening possession. Probably didn't, but it sure did seem like it. You always knew coming out each week you would see a good effort and performance. That was a great team.

Did the Broncos play their starters the entire game versus the Giants? I can't remember....

I remeber a fins fan that I worked w/ talking a whole bunch of smack after Denver got a meaningless loss #2 that season. We made a lil wager for the playoff game...oops...he lost.

Yes, it was the Dolphins loss that season that we rested the starters.

I loved watching the Broncos come out and beat up in opponents that year. It was pure delight.

Everytime I think of that I can just imagine what the record would be if he played those 8 quarters that he sat out. The guy was a stud.
