Records: Denver 8-5, Oakland 4-9.

Last game: The Raiders lost 34-13 at home to Washington after a fourth-quarter collapse. Oakland trailed by only four points, 17-13, when the quarter began.

Who's hot: The Raiders are trying to find more ways to incorporate running back Darren McFadden into their offense now that he's healthy. The former Arkansas star had only eight rushes for 21 yards Sunday, but he was much more effective as a receiver with three catches for 84 yards.

Who's not: Quarterback JaMarcus Russell was benched last month, but he had to play Sunday after Bruce Gradkowski was injured. Russell completed 10-of-16 passes for only 74 yards. He threw one interception and was sacked six times.

Key stat: 113.8. Average yards passing per game for Russell, the worst figure in the NFL. The Broncos in back-to-back weeks will have faced the NFL's top passer in Colts star Peyton Manning (300.4 yards per game) and the worst in Russell.

Coachspeak: "We're very disappointed in that locker room right now, because we lost a golden opportunity for us to move forward with the right kind of step. We just didn't do it." — Oakland coach Tom Cable, after the Raiders' loss Sunday to Washington
