hahahahahaha

Buy seriously, I don't think anyone would have made a big deal out of it until now when they went public with their mistake, and now there will be a torrent of people complaining how greviously they were offended.

I wish they would show more unedited sideline emotions.

I laughed my ass off when I saw him railing on the players. After the 3rd false start you knew it was coming...All part of the football experience.

I thought it was hilarious! They showed McD yelling at the offense and picked up "We're trying to win the M***** F****** game... What the F***!" on their mics right before they cut to commercial and then Bob Papa had to try to apologize for it after the commercial break. I wonder how much NFLN is going to get fined by the FCC for letting that one slip out!?

I'm about 99% sure that the FCC cannot fine a cable network for language or other content issues. As it isn't broadcast over the air, they don't get to regulate it. If that had happened on Fox, CBS, etc., then I am sure there would be a fine, but since it was a cable channel, I think all they have to worry about is upset subscribers/advertisers.

The NFL cannot do live games.

I think they pull homeless people from off the street to work the cameras.

The producers have no clue what to do with live coverage.

Although in the local markets, the game was simulcast on FOX who also had to apologize after the game for what happened. I wonder if that will make any difference.

I was on the phone with my wife when it happened, then it broke to commercial. When it came back I heard Papa apologizing...I asked my wife what he was apologizing for and she explained. I laughed.

Loved every minute of it too! There were so many times I wished Shanahan would've done that.

After that series the players should count themselves lucky he didn't pull a bench off the ground and start beating them to death, talk about reality TV. After that truly, truly horrifying series of play I think the networks got off easy with just a few profane words.

Big deal. If you listen closely to most games on a Sunday afternoon, every now and then you will hear an obscenity thrown in there. It's the nature of the game and it usually falls on deaf ears anyway (as most field noise is drowned out by the crowd).

One cool thing to do is if you can separate the announcer's audio from the game audio, you hear a lot more..

The problem is it was aired locally on Fox. I wouldn't be surprised to see a fine come down. I was even more surprised that the game wasn't delayed 7-10 seconds as it normally is to give producers a chance to quick edit things like that.

Personally, I liked it. But I speak two languages: English and Profanity.

I was more surprised by McDaniels throwing the NFLN straight under the bus. Bowlen was a big part of the NFLN's creation and is head of the committee for the NFL's TV sector. I wonder why he feels that way.

But the quote wasn't live. They were showing what McD had said to his offense. It was already edited (or at least chosen for TV).

I just hope McD's mom was not watching.....I am sure she would be disappointed in him for using that language...lol

fines? you crazy Americans!

up here we say and do anything we want on the air... if you dont here an f-bomb while watching NHL or CFL up here you think somethings wrong with the broadcast! Heck, we show porn on the network channels after 10:00. We dont edit movies either, that always makes me laugh while watching a movie on American TV and seeing the lips and voice not match up when someone is going crazy with the "heck" work

"We got 20 calls, that means 20 billion people were offended."

People's feelings are way to easily hurt these days. Heck go to school with your kids and hear what they do on a daily basis.

Matthew Stafford showed how awesome a mic'd up segment can be this week.

And NFL Network just showed on Thursday Night Football why it's good to edit material before putting it on the air.

After the Broncos committed three false starts in one red zone trip, NFL Network showed Broncos coach Josh McDaniels addressing his team on the sideline. (UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said McDaniels was wearing a wire. He was not.)

"All we're trying to do is win a motherf--king game!" McDaniels screamed before the audio was cut off.

The Broncos kicked a field goal, and NFL Network's Bob Papa apologized for the "F" bomb faux pas when the game returned after a break.

I've been a huge fan of the network's programming since Day One and I think they do incredible work on the whole. (I can't imagine not having access to it.) But NFL Network has endured a brutal stretch of technical problems during games this season.

The network has often been at its worst during game broadcasts, when it has the most at stake. And when the most NFL owners are watching.

I wonder how many of them will remember moments like tonight when the next Thursday night television package is up for bid.

Has anyone actually complained? Or is everybody just assuming there are people out there who are probably offended? I haven't actually seen anyone who was truly offended yet. Though my mom was embarrassed.

Since the Giants were one of the teams, the Network should only apologize to Bronco fans. New York fans are taught the f-bomb before they are three years old.

How could it not be forgotten? When it came out, our whole house heard it. We talked about it while the plays were going on. Sure, that isnt everyone who has seen it because not everyone watched the game, but with forums like this for every team and youtube, it was going to be played out.

Look, after whipping the English out of the colonies, we have our manners down here and say those words in private. You Canucks got the country handed to you by those same Brits and didnt fight for it. You cant even kick out or buy out those damn Frenchies like we did in Louisiana. Therefore, you are just plain lazy and dont have the time to edit the cuss words out. Probably drinking too much Moosehead or Labatts.
