To prevent future problems of this kind, steering clear of "questionable nuts" of other squirrels would be best.

For now, I have two (2) reccomendations;

1.) Shave affected area, thus eliminating any critters that have found your fur to be the perfect host.

2.) See nearest vet for topical creams...perhaps even talk about getting front-lined.
