Has anybody heard anything about the status of Orton? Is he going to be out for an extended period?

Our coaches will come out and say "he has a lower extremity injury"

And he'll be probable for Sunday, and we won't know until they step onto the field.

Frank Schwab of the Colorado Springs Gazette tweeted that Orton was walking in his dress shoes after his press conference.

All that means is that at least he wasn't on crutches or something, but it is a somewhat positive sign.

He's a tough ****. He'll go I think. He knows Denver needs him to win.

They discovered his leg was broken, and they had to shoot him . . .

The fact that Sims sucked so entirely has to (IMHO) accelerate his return.

If he was on crutches after the game, more than likely it was only to prevent additional swelling and other precautionary measures. I wouldn't be surprised if he walked around with some sort of a boot the next couple of days just to limit pressure on it.

Just give Simms some more time...

Honestly, Simms will be better if he practices all week. I'll withhold judgement somewhat to see what he's capable of doing with a full week of practice before completely giving up on him.

That performance yesterday afternoon was atrocious, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt if Orton can't go and he gets a full week of practice in.
