I am not going to comment on tonights game because I am slightly upset right now. However, if you are just going to sell your tickets, especially to Steeler fans...

TURN THEM IN.

Your fan cards have been revoked.

I realize that the Steelers have great fans, and they travel, but the number of Steeler fans at that game was absolutely ridiculous. No way in hell should there be that much of the opposing teams fans in our stadium. They were in groups of like 30 too. It's not like there were a few sprinkled about the stadium. Effing disgusting.

Yep, we kept saying the same thing while watching the game. It's been a steady climb over the last few seasons. Went to a Green Bay MNF game and a Minnesota game and both were a swarm of opposing fans. EFFING DISGUSTING!!!

Makes me sick. If you take a look it's mostly all in the lower deck as well. The expensive seats. :tsk: Wine and Cheese crowd pisses me off. The upper bowl of the stadium is packed full of real fans.

We got there early tonight I wanted to go take pictures but that didn't work out because they wouldn't let you on the lower level unless you had a ticket for that area. Anyway it was almost all Steeler Fans in line, I kid you not. It was like 2/3 Steelers and 1/3 Bronocs waiting to go in. I am so sick of sitting around other fans.

I did hear people that have season tickets brag how they got 3X face value for the tickets and act like that's ok, what jerks. I wish there was a way to shame these people into turning their tickets in so real fans can enjoy a live game. The worst part was I was hearing Steeler Fans saying we have "home field" advantage and laughing taking pictures of each other. IT JUST WRONG!!!

someday i hope to have enough money to outbid oposing fans, even if i can't go, resell tickets to diehard broncos fans, and then kick the person who wanted to sell them to opposing fans so hard int he crocth that when they have kids they are cross-eyed hermaphrodites.

My son and dau-in-law just left here after picking up the kids, and they said that the two seats behind them have had fans of the opposing team in them each game this year :tsk: In fact, they have NO idea who even is suppose to sit in those seats.

the Broncos organization should put out a kind message to season ticket holders that anyone caught selling tickets to opposing fans will lose all rights to those seats.

If you think I am over the top and it can't happen, you're wrong. A team did it last season.

The amount of Pitt fans at Invesco tonight was disgusting. The ueseless ****** that own those seats should be embarrassed.

Yeah, embarrassing is right. Here in NC I was the only Bronco fan among about 25 Steeler fans and I had to listen to all them say how they "basically brought their home field advantage to Denver" and how much "better" their fans are. It was sad and I really wish I could have been in Denver....

People sell their season tickets to brokers, and there are literally thousands of seats available for any game in any city......that's how I am going to see the Broncos play the colts in dec.

Maybe we as Broncos Forums should put together something to be delivered to Mr. Bowlen about our disgust with the season ticket thing. I mean it wouldn't hurt. Do it very professionally, very respectfully.

I don't understand how this would work....capitalism is at work, supply and demand. More bronco fans would rather sell their tickets to ticket brokers then attend the game....and more steeler fans are buying those tickets than bronco fans

Don't really think there is anything that can be done. The Broncos do have a policy that if someone else is using your tickets for a game, and they get in trouble - kicked out - whatever, the season ticket holder will lose their rights. I hope that is being enforced. It appears many of those who own the season tickets are NOT Bronco fans - they bought them for an INVESTMENT.:tsk:

So it's legal to sell your tickets off? When there is a list a MILE HIGH? Check the tix, if they are assigned to a season ticket holder, kill their rights to them and move on down the waiting list. When they ask why...Supply and demand, biatches.

It was pretty bad tonight, but nothing is worse than watching a game when the Montreal Canadiens play in another Canadian city. 80% of the building is Canadien fans, and they are loud and obnoxious.

at the very least, i think you should have to attend a certain percentage of the games to keep your seats. . . at least when there's a huge waiting list of actual fans who want those tickets and will come out and support the home team. . . bowlen doesn't get paid any more when he sells them to some assclown who turns around and re-sells them, but he does lose some of his team's homefield advantage and wind up with egg on his face when his stadium looks like heinz field west on national television. . . .

Exactly. I really think we should send something. Just a letter of displeasure. There might not be something in the rules now, but there should be. This is utterly disgusting and what does it tell our players when they are 6-1 and our home field looks like it's drowning in yellow towels. Utterly disgraceful

So I went on the site and looked for something close to where we sit and found this for San Diego:

Section: 119 Row: 27 $216.00 2

Our tickets cost $ 77.00 each, now we are right behind the N end zone so they may be cheaper. But any of us that work our butts off on a job everyday to have a chance to go to a game, you tell me which one you could afford? BTW are these jerks paying taxes on the difference?

I know people pull out the whole supply and demand arguement, but please, when did they invest in the team other than buy season tickets. Before the whole internet thing we would wait till the opposing team would turn in their tickets that the family would not use and I would be waiting to see if I could buy 2 of those tickets. People that buy tickets to sell them are more like drug dealers that jump on the backs of other people's hard work. We have not made every game but we have only sold to other Bronco fans and at face value, I don't own this team so it's not my money to be made.

Tned, thank you so much for allowing us to post our tickets so other fans can attend a game.:salute:

I'm sure Mr. Bowlen noticed tonight and I hope it will be talked about this week. I have no idea how to change it but it completely and totally sucks.

PS: Sorry Weaz, I can't imagine how tough that is. You know of all the teams I've met, the Montreal Canadiens are by far the rudest and just out and out snotty, only speaking French, can't imagine their fans...

Paige: Whose stadium is this, anyway?
By Woody Paige
The Denver Post
Posted: 11/10/2009 01:00:00 AM MST

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger leaves the field to the cheers of many Terrible Towel-waving fans after beating the Broncos 28-10 on Monday night at Invesco Field at Mile High. Roethlisberger finished 21-of-29 for 233 yards passing and three touchdowns, guiding a punishing Pittsburgh offense that dominated the second half. (Joe Amon, The Denver Post )The Stealers appropriated the stadium, purloined three passes, took the dais and stole "Monday Night Football" from the Broncos.

Steal Deal, 28-10.

The Steelers came with the no-huddle; the Broncos replied with the all-muddle.

A revolting number of the Broncos' players and coaches and a repulsive number of the Broncos' alleged "fans" were no-shows and no-clues.

The 20,000 season-ticket holders who sold their seats — in every section, on every level — to the Steelers' true loyalists should be ashamed. That wasn't a home game for the Broncos. It was a neutralized site.

With 2 1/2 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the stadium had been emptied out — of orange pompom party poopers. All who remained were Women & Men In Black waving the Terrible Towels in victory.

Sick effort, Denver. If you don't want your tickets, at least scalp them to people who bleed orange, blue, mustard and brown.

Super effort, Pittsburgh. The Steal City can snatch a stadium as well as the Continental Army captured Fort Ticonderoga. While the Steelers' masses were cheering Ben Roethlisberger's three touchdown passes, the Broncos' (reduced) faithful were booing Kyle Orton's three interceptions.

Sick effort, Broncos, who played the chumps to the Steelers' Super Bowl champs. The Broncos brought the Paper Curtain Defense and Monochrome Offense.

The Stealers stole an Orton pass for an interception returned for a touchdown and a 7-3 lead in the second quarter. The Stealers stole an Orton pass in the fourth quarter and scored in three plays for a 21-10 lead. And, for bad measure, the Stealers stole Orton's final pass of the game.

"Once we went to the no-huddle (offense)," Roethlisberger said, "it turned things around."

The opposing team is supposed to wear out at altitude, but Pittsburgh got friskier as the game wore on. The Broncos are supposed to be running the no-huddle, hurry-up offense to wear down the opposing team. But Josh McDaniels wants to shorten games, not lengthen them, with his dink-a-dink-a-don't offense.

The Steelers' Rashard Mendenhall must have felt a rush of oxygen. He blew past the Broncos for 155 yards. Correll Buckhalter and Knowshon Moreno were in no rush — 14 carries for 27 yards.

The Day-Glo Orange shoes of Brandon Marshall were no match for the gold feet of four Steelers receivers who had 20 receptions.

"We became one-dimensional," McDaniels said.

How about none-dimensional?

The Broncos are 6-2 at the midway juncture of the season but should have a better-feeling texture, because few outside or, even, inside the locker room believed the Broncos would be so lofty on Nov. 9. But the performances in Baltimore and at home (home?) this month have been more septic tank than antiseptic salve.

The Broncos have been outscored 58-17 and have permitted the Chargers to get back in the race.

Just as alarming, the Broncos have not scored in five of their past eight quarters; they have yet to score a touchdown on their first possession this season (but did burp a field goal after the opening kickoff against Pittsburgh); and the only touchdown scored on Monday night was not by the offense, but on a scoop-and- score fumble return.

One offensive touchdown in two games! That efficient offense managed by Orton has become ineffective and unmanageable. New school has become old-fashioned.

Submit Your Question

Post sports columnist Woody Paige fields your questions. Look for Woody's Mailbag on Thursdays.
"We just can't listen to all this stuff," said Robert Ayers, who did score the Broncos' only touchdown, and he isn't a running back. "Good teams recover from things like this."

What may help the Broncos recover most is not an improved offense or a return of the defense that was MMA tough in the first five games. The Washington Redskins will help most.

The Washington offense is as mobile as a monument.

"We lost to two good football teams," Orton said. "Move on and get ready for Washington." He didn't call Washington a good football team.

This was a night when the Broncos' followers could have ripped the players. But it also was a night when Marshall could have been praised if he had chosen to rip on the fans. Marshall once criticized the crowd for leaving early. Part of the crowd didn't arrive on Monday night.

The Steelers' tailgate party in the parking lot was even larger than the Broncos'. The Steelers travel well. One young man told me he had ridden a bus from Pittsburgh for 36 straight hours to get to the game. "I am afraid to fly, so I'm the John Madden of Steelers Nation." Only his bus has Greyhound on the side. But his long ride back to Pittsburgh will be sweeter now.

The Steelers and zealots were thieves in the night, and the Broncos and their advocates (those who didn't sell out) stood there and meekly accepted it.

Every player should express how angry they are about the fan attendance.
SOMEONE has to say something beyond just us and the media.
Brandon Marshall would be a great voice to kick some sense into the fools who sold their tickets to Steeler fans.

Hey, I did my part by buying a couple of lower level tickets, but it was about 1/3 Steelers fans around us. One of them in front of us did get escorted out for trying to start a fight so hopefully the ticket holder loses the rights.

I knew there was going to be a problem when there were a ton of Steelers fans wandering around downtown Denver before the game but I never expected it to be so bad.
