In terms of patching holes, especially on the defense, there is plenty of work awaiting Denver coach Mike Shanahan in the offseason, and one vehicle for adding to the Broncos' roster might be to subtract Walker, writes Len Pasquarelli.

The veteran wideout stopped short this week of demanding a trade, but indicated he no longer believes he is a good fit in the Denver offense, after an injury plagued season in which he missed considerable playing time and finished with only 26 receptions for 246 yards and two touchdowns. So look for Walker to be actively shopped by Denver management in coming months. One potential sticking point, however, to a deal is that the Broncos will suffer some cap consequences if they deal Walker to another club. His cap figure for 2008 is slightly in excess of $7 million. But even taking a cap hit might be worth it to avoid the $5.4 million in bonuses that Walker is due in the offseason, and to jettison a guy who no longer wants to be around anyway.

Couldn't find on Henry - but I know he is owed a Roster Bonus - it would probably be a mil to 2mil hit, maybe less.

He or Walker could be designated our June 1st cut I believe and we move forward now (though I don't know how that works with Roster Bonuses due in March... I would assume it isn't an issue since most players have these bonuses and a rule which made you include would make the new June 1st rule ineffective.)

If they keep them past roster bonus those would be spread over next two season 2008-09

I think they will be kept unless they can be traded..
