Slick, great list except I couldn't disagree more on Apocalypse Now--to me that is the classic movie that you can only watch a couple times because it's so brutal and wears on your damn mind.

Same with Casino and the Shining-- the movies are great, but I hate the female characters so much I almost can't watch them.

In general, I don't like to rewatch movies a million times. But there are some exceptions:

A Christmas Story
Willy Wonka
Big Lebowski
Pulp Fiction
Waynes World
Dumb and Dumber
Days of Thunder
Top Gun
Braveheart (the battle scenes anyway)
Diehard
Gladiator
Halloween

Funny thing is struggle so much to get through that movie but the ending sequences are one of the alltime bests for me.

"Thats right, im William Munny and ive killed women and children. Hell, i killed just about living that has walked or crawled at one time or another. And im here to kill you Little Bill, for what you did to Ned".

Freaking awesome.

What i found so fascinating about that movie, is you keep hearing about what a bad ass Munny was from the Kid. His reputation etc. But all you saw of William was a pathetic broken down man, trying to raise his kids. Falling over in pig shyt etc. Even after he takes the Job. and they kill that one guy in the Hills, he cant stomach to watch/listen to him die. He allows the rest of the group to give him water, and comfort him in his final moments. He seems really conflicted about the killing.

Then Ned gets killed. And you see the badass come out. Classic.

Yes, I saw the Japanese version, and it's way better than what Walter Salles made in his US version. But what I like about the US version, is the setting, the chemistry between Jennifer Connelly and Ariel Gade, Connelly's daughter in the movie, as well the music... But overall, you're right, the Japanese version is a little better. I actually like both versions...

heehee . . . Well, I didn't get a chance to go see it when it was released - my
dad was 19 at the time - but that thing hit the movie theaters again in the
1950s, and I've seen it a time or two since. Also read Margaret Mitchell's novel
on it as a high school assignment - something that should not be tried by those
who work for a living.

Let me know when you get out of high school. I may send you a copy as a

Rex, a neighbor is getting married and I'm helping to plan his bachelor party. How many clients do you think you can handle in a an evening?

I am not sure what you are asking:

1. I am not a male stripper or a male prostitute
2. Why would you want a dude stripper/prostitute for a bachelor party
3. Your friends must be kweer like you
4. If you are talking dogs, I am not into that.
5. This post you made was a total fail. FAIL.
6. Please kill yourself.

1. Like I said, it is a neighbor, nowhere did I said friend
2. I will help neighbor's when they ask about something. Like when they ask for a reliable electrician or something
3. What do dogs have to do with anything
4. these guys seem actually pretty low key, I've never had to call the cops anyway, I imgaine the services requested wouldn't go much past a back rub and a lap dance.
5. There's really no need to be so defensive.

Hey Rex. serious question... a friend of mine is getting back surgery for a herniated disc. how long do you think the recovery time will be and what is the recovery on that type of surgery typically? ( 80, 90, 100 percent)

I think Kelly LeBrock is still hot. She was stunningly gorgeous in 80's and she was my # 1 gal! =)

One of those box-office success movies that actually aged very well. It manages to say the quiet part out loud while still being very entertaining. ... there are many layers to these quiet parts.

My wife of all people loves this movie. The last video game I saw her play was Guitar Hero over a decade ago but for whatever reason she just loves this movie. Might be a book thing. I know this was based on a book series and she was the Children's librarian for a long time in Rifle and I think she read the book because of that. She used to read a ton of kids and young adults books so she knew which ones were good for the kiddos.
