Game Day Thread 11/1/09: Denver @ Baltimore

After two weeks offs we get see if the Broncos can continue to remain undefeated against another opponent that has it's back to wall. Let's hope that Denver can get the offense and special teams going so that they give our outstanding defense some help. Against teams like the Ravens it important to get going early. Here's to good game and no injuries a victory for the good guys. :beer:

This game is a toss up and I hope the BRONCOS are prepared because I'm sure the Ravens will be, like you say hard to believe the Ravens will lose 4 in a row! I was out of town and unable to watch the Cincy game live...still can't believe I didn't get to have the thrill of watching the Stokley catch live, I first heard about it on the radio, smh. Anyway, when I got back to our motel room, which had wifi, I went straight to BroncosForums and seeked out the part of the Game Day thread with the reactions to the McMiracle. It was a lot of fun to read all the reactions...it was like people weren't even that happy. They were all in shock or something...in disbelief.

I'm not sure if Jordan was actually the second FB, as they seemed to go with Hillis or Hochstein (and Fields once).

However, I think since Hillis can run the ball, and Hillis and Larsen both play special teams (I don't think Jordan does, and even if he did, he's too slow to make a real impact), I'm guessing that having him only as the 4 minute back to run out the clock is too much of a luxury.

Also, even though he has fumbled quite a few times (some lucky calls went our way that don't count at least two fumbles on the stat sheet), I think Josh has a lot of confidence in Moreno. So, I'm guessing the additional confidence in Moreno and Hillis and Larsen playing ST's, puts Jordan on the side line unless someone gets hurt.

:lol: Sucks that you missed that game. That game was classic though. I just remember during the game telling someone that I could see us losing 7-6 on a TD in the final minutes. Then it looked like it was going to come true. :fight: And I remember I was on the couch and on 1st down when Orton threw that near INT, I grabbed this pillow next to me and threw it at the window and walked out of the room thinking that it was an INT. Then I heard them say that it was an int so I went back in the room and basically went nuts on the next play. :lol: ... I was acting as if we went to the SB. Even my cat got mad at me I think because he started to attack me after that. I guess he doesn't like fast/suttle movements. Then I went on the message boards to see how people were reacting before/after that play. :lol:

Good times. I'm just glad that were not 1-5 and that win being meaningless. Cant believe the season is already almost half over. :(

Screens are supposed to offset agressive defenses, but our Oline cant get off the ball and get downfield to block. This is the first time in the past two seasons where out entire offensive line is getting completely manhandled.

I think we need to bring in an extra blocker and let Marshall and Eddie take a couple shots downfield. Baltimore has 9 guys attacking the LOS, so there should be something open downfield.
