I know it was a tough Season, but there are a few candidates/players that are worthy of this award ... like JCut and BMarsh. But i'm going to go with JElam on this one. He really came through for us on a number of occasions when we needed him too .... like a few other players ...

Any thoughts??

Guess that's about as fair an assessment as any, Skin. As I recall, Elam's leg put us over the winning edge at the finale of at least 3 out of our 7 paltry wins for this season. But you could also argue that Cutler, Marshall, Young and a dearth of others kept us close enough for those winning kicks to count.

I dunno... for lack of any other "MVP"--usually reserved for a clear standout--I'd be inclined to go with Cutler. Let's just say that his value to the team is still in the bank.

Elam...four of seven wins off his foot...

Dumerville. To come in as a pass rush specialist last year and get 12.5 sacks under sized, and still play the run with some effeciency is a huge leap forward. Marshall and Cutelr are close behind, especially Marshall in my book. But the biggest leap forward by any plaer, and the only consistent contributor to a front four that changed week in and week out was a short, long armed, undersized DE that shook QB's and tested every tackle he faced.

Can't argue with that one bit. Dumerville is definitely a Keeper! :2thumbs:

REally waht seals the deal for me is that Cutler had a good supporting cast. Marshall could rely on Stokley, Scheffler, and Young to help open things up for him. But Dumerville for almost the entire season did almsot everything on his own, and did it well enough to ponder the possibility of a pro-bowl (before the Houston game). Its the fact that despite a lack of anyone aroudn him at the point of attack Dumerville did it.

I know I'm kind of rambling now, but I forgot to include that in my original post. :D

Its got to be Elam...hands down.

If not for him, we would have been 3-13.

No one else is even close in my mind.

Correction: three and a half of seven. Did you forget about that "icing" of the kicker at the climax of the first Raiders game of this season? :D

Cutler did a great job throwing the football down the field to get Elam and the Broncos in field goal range in those games too, I guess you could also chalk up Cutler some credit in those games.

Another special mention to the person that had to sew the names and numbers on. What do you think they did with Mustard, he's on, no off, oh back on.:elefant:
