I am pretty sure that after strength of shedule comes strength of victory or some other tie breakers, well before a coin toss.

That would be a kick in the nuts to Buffalo if we won, but, retribution to them for the first game of the season......

we beat buffalo this year. wouldnt division standings and actual win/loss come into play? i couldn understand if the two teams didnt face each other in the year but we did. who knows though. i hope its right. if the points total is correct maybe its true?

anyone know? how sweet would that be? end the season with a good win. knock someone out of the playoffs and end up with a high pick still. cant wait for next year.

i think both teams should have their cheerleaders wrestle naked in the rain against each other for the 11th pick. :D

What I have read is that after SOS, you follow the same tiebreaker as is applied for a conference wildcard spot, which would be:

1. Head-to-head, if applicable.

2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.

4. Strength of victory.

5. Strength of schedule.

6. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.

7. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.

8. Best net points in conference games.

9. Best net points in all games.

10. Best net touchdowns in all games.

11. Coin toss.

Since we beat Bufflalo, that would mean we will be ranked higher, and therefore have the worst draft pick. So, if that site is right, it looks to me like Buf gets 11 and we get 12.

Even if it comes down to a coin toss and we lose the toss, I perfectly fine with us being in the 12th spot in the draft.

As I was saying to DenBronx I wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up with 12th overall pick.

I'm also going to assume at this point that Denver and Buffalo have no other common opponents. Ones that we lost too and that they beat.

kinda the same situation last year with tampa and cleveland. one team had a tougher schedule and none of that came into play. i think when it comes down to a coin toss they look at the total points scored first.

According to this, the Colt/Tenn game won't effect either teams SOS, which means Buffalo will get the 11 pick because they lost to Denver in game 1.

At the same time though, there seem to be coinflips on a yearly basis. You would think with all those tiebreakers, one of em would have to settle it before a coin is flipped.

If two teams are tied that aren't in the same conference (Oak, KC, Atl), then after SOS, it goes to a coin toss.

yes, Denver will select #12.

So we won today's game and only fell two spots in the draft order. Considering how bad this season was this seems like the best break we've had all year.

Wait a minute weren't you saying that you prefered Denver to win and drop in the draft order rather than lose and gain spots in the draft? :suspicious: :D

Yep, I might feel different in April, but I didn't want to end the seasons watching Denver lose 5 of 6.

I found this on the mane:

The tiebreaker after strength of schedule is

1. divisional record (see detroit/chicago)
2. conference record
3. coin flip

We are not in the same division as Buffalo, so that's irrelevant.

Our conference records are identical at 6-6.

The result will be a coin flip about a month before the draft.

Head-to-head is not a tiebreaker for the selection meeting (Draft).

It'll be interesting to see who is right. Either way I'm happy w/ 11 or 12.

im pretty sure were going to have to flip. we have tied them in too many areas. i dont think head 2 head comes into play unless it's a deciding factor in your own division regarding a playoff spot.

We pick 12th - the Bills pick 11th based on the head-to-head CONFERENCE tiebreaker. No biggie, I don't see us and Buffalo really having the same needs right now so I don't necessarily fear them taking 'our player' in the 11 spot.
