Since we cannot get any respect from anyone each and every week. You know our Broncos show up every week and prove them all wrong. So I am sure some tv jock out there will predict us to lose and heck we are not even playing. ANyone else feel the way I do?

I'm surprised vegas doesn't have us as a underdog during our bye!

Why the F do you care? :coffee:

It's not a very nice day in Denver today, but the Broncos won, and they have a bye week. And they're undefeated!

What more do you want? for everyone!

Do you know what Las Vegas odds really mean? That's simply a number bookies use to make sure that a roughly even amount of money is bet on both sides of a game. Period. :coffee:

It doesn't mean the odd-makers really think Denver will lose. They couldn't care less who wins. They just want to make sure enough money is on Denver so that their exposure is limited.

If most of the betting is on one team, then they are exposed to big losses in the case of an upset by the underdog. Casinos HATE that. That's the quickest way for that odds-maker to lose his job.

As long as their exposure is limited, then no matter who wins the house keeps the vig and they're making a profit, see? That's how they build those fancy casinos!

If the Ravens are favored, that simply means that the odd-makers think that it will take a few extra points to get enough people to bet on Denver to cover their exposure.

That might reflect a bunch of Baltimore fans or fans in the east coast are betting, who don't follow the Broncos and don't think they can be that good because last year they sucked, etc.

Few experts at this point would go out on a limb and predict a Ravens win in Denver. That game is a complete toss-up. NO WAY in hell would I bet on this game unless they gave at least 10 points. I have NO IDEA what will happen or who should be favored.

I care because honestly I'm liking the underdog role we are in. While we are on the subject of the Baltimore game I'm thinking we will be 2 points dogs in that game.

I prefer the term dark horse.

i watched playbook on nfln this morning and it was said that ,at first we were shocked when the broncos won games .then surprised, but now denver has to be considered one of the "elite" teams in the nfl.
also when they asked the question"which undefeated teams have concerns?"
they talked about the vikings and colts.
in other words in some circles we are rapidly losing our "underdog status"
i prefer the team to be discounted as i think it keeps the guys hungry to prove themselves, but i also know the mindset of this years broncos and they dont appear to give a damn what anybody outside the locker room thinks !:salute:

I'm in a bit of a paradox. I expect them to win each game but not to go undefeated all season.

I remember back 4 years ago, we were at the start of the ACFC season, we were doing really well and not a single media outlet was giving us any amount of respect. I looked up Broncomania and signed up under the screenname giveemlove. I was thinking of a screenname and that thought kept going through my head...at what point are these clowns going to give them some love? Hence the name.

When I explained the name to some over there, they said the same thing Cugel said in this thread....WHO CARES WHAT THOSE IDIOTS THINK!! And it's true.

They don't matter. WE MATTER. THIS TEAM MATTERS. THESE COACHES MATTERS.

i just looked over the remaining games last night.....and took as un-biased approach as a fan can possibly do.
i honestly believe that the broncos can win every game (i predicted 10-6 before the season)
i mean i have the same problem i cant imagine them 16-0 but i also think if they plan and execute the way they have been they couild beat any of the remaining teams.........maybe they will lose to kc at arrowhead and go 18-1:salute:

I think our days of being overlooked and being considered the underdog are pretty much over. Any chance we had of sneaking up on teams went out the window with our smackdown of Phyllis and company on Monday night....and I'm totally OK with that.

all i care about is the improvement the broncos have made,it does tick me off that everyone is shocked that the broncos are undefeted on monday out of six commentors 2 or 1 only picked the broncos to win.i mean they must think where the raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its reasonable to be shocked that were 6-0....its not reasonable to assume that we will lose every week from here on out.
i bet we see alot more winning picks from the "experts" now.
thats what makes them experts they get to change horses at any point in the season and then later look back and say"i said they were going to be a great team......uhhh after they won their first 6 games that is !;)

Not true. I listen to NFL radio all day on Sirius radio and we are considered to have a soft schedule and we are going to choke and show the true Broncos in the remaining ten games. I cannot wait until we prove them all wrong and then we can listen to them all eat crow!!!

That's just the media though. I was talking about the teams we have to face. No team in the league sees us as the mediocre team we were last year. Any team that had us marked on their calendar as a gimme has since erased that mark and has started preparing already...We are officially ON the radar now.

Exactly, the media doesn't matter because they're no the ones going out onto the field to play.

eh this is the same Vegas that said the Cardinals and Yankees would meet in the World Series this year too.

http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705335141/Vegas-likes-Yankees-Cards-in-Series.html

and someone please tell me...how did that one pan out??? oh right. Cardinals got swept in 3 games. but hey, at least Vegas might get it half right...Yanks appear poised to go to the World Series tomorrow night if they beat the Angels. wonder what the odds of that are? :coffee:

i dont care if we're a damn underdog all year. I'd rather be the underdog, just more fuel to our fire.
