It is said that everything is bigger in Texas.

A giant spyder web has been discovered at Lake Tawakoni State Park that is causing an international interest.

They say one can hear millions of mosquitos screaming that are caught in the web !

Nah, I saw it on BBC.co.uk.

At least it was lots of little spiders, and not one huge critter.

thats cool!!

and anton is not even a fan of spiders...

but the fact that they are weaving the web as a unit is strange and unheard off as far as im aware...

and it also gets all the spider nerds off the streets for a few days...

so everybody wins!!

From what I have heard it is nowhere near being new or unheard of, it apparently happens in various places all over the world.

It is just where it happened this time that is giving it all the hype as it is usually in more remote areas.

anton says it's cool !

Tetragnathidae, which are native to Texas, are cool !

Entomologists from Down Under are there and they say it's cool !

So if anton says it's cool, it's cool !

Oh it is certainly cool, no question.

It just isn't as rare as people think it is is the point.

But cool to be sure all the same....though rather ugly:sick:

I'm really trying to appreciate this website (pun intended).:eyebrows:

There are 20 long-jawed spiders per cubic foot. :scared:

I can surely appreciate it a lot more via video. :D

Well....it's a big web and it's in TEXAS, so should we be surprised?

That's amazing!

I don't liek spiders, killed a big gnawrly looking one last night that scared the bejezus out of me, but that is an amazing thing those little critters did. Gotta say, in a park like that to, it's a great thing. The less flying bugs around the better IMO... I hate mosquitos...

Great. And I leave for Texas Friday morning.

Does anyone have any extra can of bug spray?

Or perhaps a giant fly swatter?

Or maybe a nuclear warhead? LOL
