Derek Anderson is having an awesome game!!

I was soooo wrong about him. All of you were right.

Running into Jamal Lewis on a handoff.

Throwing an interception with the team down 6-0 and having it returned to own 5 yard line.

Awesome play!!!

Then following that interception - throwing another one!!!

Great play Anderson!!!

Or should I say Neil O'Donnell?

You are from the other board - right?

I've been saying Anderson was no good for a LONG time and everybody basically said I was "pitiful and disgusting" for saying that here.

So, how is their favorite QB doing?

Looks like I was right - again!!!

And Tom Brady failed to throw a TD Pass last week.
Tony Romo had 3 Ints last week
Ben Roethlisberger led the league in Ints last year.
Palmer has about 20 Ints this year
Manning threw 6 Ints in a game this year
I fail to see what your getting at.
Whos the QB who has the Browns at 9-5 right now?

I know your a Browns fan and your use to losing so seeing a QB who is actually leading your team in the winning direction is unheard of.

If the Browns lose this game, Tennessee locks up the final playoff spot for the AFC.

So, the Browns will not be 9-6 with a chance to make the playoffs.

The Browns will be 9-6 and hoping that next year is better.

Anderson is playing horribly this game and the last several weeks. Getting worse and worse.

I knew the Browns would do well this year and if you looke back on my posts - especially on B-Mania you will see that I said the Browns would do very well this year.

Anderson stares down recievers. Throws into double and tripple coverage, runs into his own players. He is despicable and does not deserve this praise he is getting by the National Media.

How do the Titans lock up the final playoff spot?
They still have 2 games left and 1 of them vs the Colts.
They havn't locked up anything.
I like the Browns chances coming back against the Bengals and 49ers more so. How many points did Anderson and Co. put up against the Bengals earlier this year? They put up more then the Pats did vs them.

If you have one of the worst Defenses(PPG) in the league and yet you are sitting at 9-5 then your offense is doing something right and that starts with the QB.

I really wish the Browns would start Quinn as well so they can go back to being the same old Browns and sitting in the cellar like they belong.

And no I'm not watching it.
But one bad game doesn't mean a player sucks neither does a few bad weeks. Neither does a 9-4 record.

Your still bitter since they gave Frye the boot.

When they win its because of thier Defense giving up 30 ppg or so and when they lose its because Anderson and the offense fail to score 25ish

If Quinn has a great career (low chance of that) anyway do you think he is going to play his very best or even well right now? You want to put a Rookie QB into a game that you could clinch a spot? Are you serious? Who was the IDIOT that called a passing play with about 30 seconds to go in the game when you had no timeouts? That was not DA, that was your coach.

You are not right, and honestly you are almost never right. Just sit back and watch the game dude, btw your boy just lead your team to a TD drive. Now going by the swinging pendulum of QB judgment that is CR he must be.........TEH GREATEST QBGUY EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, the Browns are GARBAGE! Edwards is the only true stud on that offense period. Winslow has his moments but he cannot block to save his life and while he is a pass catching machine I often laugh when I see him get owned on the field and cry about it. I almost hope the Cleveland Browns get into the playoffs so I could watch them get dismantled by whoever they play. They have no defense, inconsistentcy on offense all around barring Edwards, and to top it all off their coach is decent at best IMO.

The Cleveland Browns could have a 16-0 season, win the Super Bowl, win all games by 30 points and have all their players go to the Pro Bowl and you would still be unhappy about something.

As much as you hate to admit it, Anderson is a good Quarterback, a good Quarterback who had a bad game yes, but a good quarterback.

I love Derek Anderson.

How many 9-6 seasons after 15 games have the Brownies enjoyed before he was QB?

Let's see now. Since the Browns returned to Cleveland in 1999, they have NEVER had a 9-6 season after 15 games.

That's NEVER, as in, hasn't ever happened.

In fact, the Brownies have only won 9 games in a season ONCE in that time when they went 9-7.

The Brownies offense is 6th in points scored and 11th in total yards. This is a necessity with that worthless defense the Browns have (28th in points allowed and 31st in yards allowed).

Sorry Charlie, you don't have a clue on this one.

I won't deny that CR likes to complain about his team, but it's his right.

Let's try to keep Anderson the topic and avoid anything that could turn into something none of us want.

K?

Now, Anderson had a rough game today, but with this being only the second time since 1999 (when the Browns returned to Cleveland) that the team has had 9 wins after 15 games, I don't see how anyone could be anything but happy with Anderson.

I posted this earlier, but the Brownies defense is near the bottom of the league in points and yards allowed, yet the offense is near the top.

Looks to me that if it wasn't for Anderson (and the rest of the offense), Cleveland could be in the basement of their division.

I love my Browns very much and I don't like you all giving me such a hard time.

I understand if it is in the smack forum.

I am under a lot of pressure in my life and I have strong feelings about things. You've known me for a while - most of you. So, you should already know that about me. When I do not like a player - I seriously do not like a player. I do not like Anderson. He may play for the Browns - I love the Browns. But just because I love the Browns does not mean I have to love him. I liked Kosar a lot, I liked Testaverde - despite all the bad press he got in Cleveland, I didn't mind Couch, I liked Frye. I don't like Quinn a whole lot. But he was drafted for a reason and I haven't heard enough to really form much of a judgement on him. I really like Joe Thomas a lot and he has done a darn fine job in Cleveland. I wanted Thomas in the draft. I did not want Quinn. But having both Thomas and Quinn is just fine by me.

I want Quinn to play and get some experience in for next year. I don't want him to start a game. But he should at least take a few snaps this year.

I would never root against the Browns.
Yes, earlier this year I chose a team to win against Cleveland. Because Anderson had played very poorly the week before and I anticipated that his poor play would continue. That doesn't mean I didn't want the Browns to win. When the Browns win it makes me extremely happy and makes my week a little bit better. Just because I am a Browns fan doesn't mean I have to blindly follow the team, nor does it mean that I have to like every single individual player on the Browns.

attitude toward them, even though I was a Plummer fan.

mean you aren't a Browns fan.

For the record(not like it matters)

I've always liked Plummer.
and I like Cutler as well.

I never rooted for losses or started threads every day saying how Jake sucks.
I root for whoever is on our team and whoever is starting.
I dont wish for injuries and I dont complain about everything either. :salute:

Yea I did
I liked Griese for a while until he played Oakland and was down 21-0 in a blink of an eye. Plus I was young back then.

I did like Frerotte as well.
I also liked Beurline(sp)
I also liked Kannel when he played for a little bit.

I dont remember much about Miller and Brister.

But I do know that I loved Portis.
I wish we had a RB of his calibur today. :salute:

I knew I forgot a name. Kannel - I couldn't think of his name.

Used to play with the Giants back in the mid-90s.

I don't like every player that has played or does play for the Browns.

I hated Andre Rison - and I still hate him.
I hated Quincy Morgan - and I still hate him.
I strongly dislike Derek Anderson - and I will continue to dislike him.
I disliked Braylon Edwards - but this past offseason he made ammends.

Well I dont really Hate Players who suck. I hate more players that quit on the team or put players/coaches down. Or who talk trash about people.

I hate Eddie Quitterson
I hate Darryl Gardner
I hate Simeon Rice
I hate Todd Saurbraun

Theres more that I dislike too.
Those are just some obvious ones.

If a player is trying and doesn't put people under the bus I dont hate them.
Anderson is trying I think.
Hes trying well enough to have them at 9-6 right now.

Andre Rison alienated the fanbase and was a locker-room distraction. Nobody liked him in Cleveland and he is still an infamous player. You couldn't sell a throwback Rison Jersey if you had one.

Quincy Morgan couldn't catch when he was with the Browns and I hated that. Then in Pittsburgh he put down the Browns very much.

Anderson tries. However, for every good positive play he makes he has several boneheaded plays. If the national media would just jump off of his jock they would see how inconsistant his play is. I want a consistant QB. A QB who plays at least decent every game. An accurate smart QB. Anderson is not an accurate or smart QB. Anderson is a gunslinger. I do not like gunslinger QB's. I like smart accurate QB's like Kosar.
