I agree 100%. Being the mom of a 31, 29 and 8 year old I would cringe with embarrassment if my child showed the world that behavior. I would feel very responsible for at least not teaching the basics!!

I think these parents grew too dependant on the $$ they made off of their children they couldn't parent at all!!

I think you'll find with Miley Cyrus, is that having a father who actually doesn't need his daughter for fame, is that she will be much more balanced in her life.

How "bad" the age difference is depends on the age. A 3 1/2 yr age difference at that age is a bad thing. There is a reason that the law is set up the way it is. An almost 20 yr old sleeping with a 16 yr old is ridiculous and he should certainly face the consequences, which by the way, are much more severe in Louisiana than California, I was surprised by that.

Anyhow, another illustration, it's no big deal for say, a 35 yr old to date a 27 yr old, however the same age difference would have an 18 yr old dating a 10 yr old.... See what I mean?

That is dependent on the age of consent in the state where conception occured, and in some states, the parents have to press charges.


But yeah, in MOST cases, that would be statutory rape.

The laws vary greatly regarding legal consent. In some states, a 16 year old can't legally give consent, in others, they can.
