I worded that wrong...I mean dope as in dummy...not a dope head.

I stand by my statement.

I would like to say I dont believe in them but the madden curse has never been proven wrong. The SI curse has though... Denver Superbowl Champions!

honz, find one madden cover player that had a good season the year they were on it... you can't say Fitzgerald, because it was a dual cover and Palamolu is injured and Fitgerald still could be...

SI even makes fun of themselves and keeps track of it. It isn't really a curse, its just odds, but its fun.

Some kind of jinx, a miracle, or atmospheric forces from beyond, is all Pats fans can hope for to get a W on Sunday.

Ray Lewis, Madden 2005 (which is for the 2004 season).

15 games played, 15 started, 146 tackles, 100 solo, 1 sack, 5 passes defended and 1 forced fumble.

Granted he missed most of the 2005 season, but that's when Donovan McNabb was on the cover. :hi:

not looking good man. let's hope there is no merit to the SI Jinx.

Why don't ya ask the Oklahoma State Cowboys what happened after SI put them on the cover earlier this season after they smacked Georgia 24-10.

the following week they came out and laid an egg against Houston.....yes Houston. :tsk:

I hope we beat the Pats, and prove the SI Jinx wrong.

If the Broncos lose it won't be because they are on the cover of SI.

actually, he did miss a game. He also had a good year, but not as good as the seasons prior.

"Ray Lewis for the most part avoided the curse. His numbers were slightly down from the year before, but he missed one game. He did not record an interception in 2004, the first time in his career."

Still, the results have shown, the madden cover is a curse for every player except for one. thats a definite curse.

Superstitions are for the weak. This team is not that.

There's not a more fitting player to be on the cover. Daniel Graham, John Mackey award winner, son of Tom Graham, pride of Thomas Jefferson High School and the Colorado Buffaloes.

Catastrophe vs having a great rather than stupendous year. I think you're splitting hairs there.

Personally, I wouldn't agree to be on the cover myself, but I don't like to tempt the fates I don't believe in.

Quick........someone get a Bronco on the Jim Rome show again so we can offset this thing with some Jungle Karma!!!!

Wait, Champ was on yesterday......wonder if that will help?
