First, I'd like like to thank Kaylore and crush05 from here for coming over to our board and being classy.

That said, I think this Sunday's game is a trap for both of us. If you guys pull out the win, the critics will say you beat a struggling team that is good on paper, and you have the hardest part of your schedule ahead of you.

If we win, they'll say that we were supposed to beat a team that, until this point has only beat bums.

The reality is, we both have the weapons (IMO, you on defense, and us on offense) to be contenders in the league.

As I've said to Kalore before, one of us will be 3-1 next week.(Hopefully us :D)

But no matter who it is, BSPN will dump on both because they're not sold on either of us at this point. Eff 'em.

Here's to a injury-free game on Sunday.

Come over to www.AbsoluteCowboys.com if you wanna talk some football.

Hey Brooklyn, thanks for stopping by.

Sorry, your thread got caught by the auto spam/moderation filter (I guess because of the link being in your first post), and it had to be manually released.

Anyway, welcome to BroncosForums.

We are looking forward to a great game on Sunday.

Welcome Brook!

Yes, there will be a lot of wishy washy commentary after the game no matter who wins.

In fact if the Broncos win this week it will be because Romo and company just aren't playing well. If we beat NE next week it will be because Brady is still rusty, if we beat SD after that it will be because LT is hurt, Bal after that because of some other reason and so on and so forth.

Denver never gets any respect from the men or women behind the desks because they have always thought of Denver as being a cow town who shouldn't even have a team.

Anyway....Welcome again!

We have the defense...true...but where exactly is your offense?
Outside of Witten, what do you have? I'll take our backs, receivers, line, and yes I'll say it..:yuck: our QB over the O Unit you guys got anyday!:woot:

Welcome to the boards man. I used to HATE the Cowboys, but I've lived in Texas for the better part of the last six years and, as it turns out, true Cowboys fans really aren't as bad as people make them out to be. They're a little bias, as are all Texans toward Texas, but they respond well to factual discussion...which is good.

all joking aside, it is great to see Cowboys fans who are cool .I guess that whole no playoff wins in 14 years has tempered them some. We all go thru it..lol.

You're right... It's a trap... Anyway, I hope the expert will have to say we have beaten a struggling team ;) :D

If we win, we'll be 4-0 and you'll be 2-2.
If you win, we'll both be 3-1 then...

I lived in Phoenix for 14 years and go to the Metroplex frequently. The traffic in Phoenix is considerably worse than DFW. DFW has their highway system together and established a lot more than PHX does. I-17 only being two lanes for that stretch kills me. The 60 is NICE heading east though. The 10 heading west is only two lanes and shit loads of construction. The 101 is ALWAYS packed. Traffic there blows. DFW isn't near as bad IMO.

Don't know how long its been since you have been here, but rush hour has gotten considerably worse in the last 5 years. I've never been to Phoenix for comparison sakes but it has gotten worse.

Just two years ago though Houston was #5 and we were #6 and we leapfrogged them. Its not because of the roads either. The roadways have improved, there are just too many cars on the road during rush hour. 30% of the roads in the Dallas half have become toll ways, and its almost impossible to avoid them.

there's more to this town than just what you see in the pic, but we're about an hour and 30 minutes away from the mountains (well what these Tennessee pokes call mountains. I'm a Denver native, and I can attest...these itty bitty ant mounds here aren't mountains.)

Murfreesboro is home to about 80,000 residents, as well as Middle Tennessee State University (where I attend college).

but ya, def not a whole lot going on here as far as activities, but I never was a city person, i prefer out in the country where there's no sirens, and gunshots, and honking horns and all that semantic noise.

I will be in the Denver area by the end of October. I can not discribe how much I am looking forward to being back in that cool fresh air at that altittude with 300 sunny days a year. No more horrible muggy heat filled months and endless stretches of traffic jams!!!

Like any major city, there are really bad areas. I grew up in one of the worst.(East New York)
But don't believe everything you read or have seen in the past on TV about BK.

Where do you think most of the stars that live in NYC live?

Park Slope
Brooklyn Heights
Cobble Hill
Vinegar Hill
DUMBO
Clinton Hill

All some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in NYC.

Population: Over 2.5 million

Who's from Brooklyn?

Vincent Thomas Lombardi - You know, the guy who's trophy we all want?

Michael Jordan
Eddie Murphy
Clara Bow
Jackie Gleason
Rita Hayworth
Priscilla Presley
Mel Brooks
Jerry Stiller
Woody Allen
Alan Arkin
Larry King
Dom DeLuise
Louis Gossett Jr
Mary Tyler Moore
Barbra Streisand
Neil Diamond
James L. Brooks
Richard Dreyfuss
Larry David
Richard Lewis
Steve Buscemi
William Forsythe
Jerry Seinfeld
Jimmy Kimmel

..and too many others to name.

It's, by far, the most cultural-diverse city in America. A person needs diversity to toughen him up for life. The people on that list are proof.

"If you can make it here, you'll make it anywhere".

I could see why someone from colorado wouldn't like the DFW metroplex. There are no breath taking views of mountains and it gets freaking hot here in the summers. I have lived here pretty much my whole life so it will always be home. I like the no state income tax, and I have a great job, so it would take a lot for me to move away.

That being said, I love to ski so Colorado is a place I love to visit. I don't want to shovel snow all the time, and there is just something wrong with a casino that doesn't have Craps. Its a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. More power to you and what makes you happy. I am so used to it, someplace else just wouldn't be home to me.

i hate NY, NY'ers, all their sports teams, and all their citizens.

I rode with a buddy and his dad who was a big rig driver, and we stopped somewhere in NYC to get directions and sodas, and the jerk behind the counter says to my friends dad when he asked how to get some business somewhere

"Hey *******, what do I look like a ******* map?" and then goes into a tirade about tourists. we dropped our stuff on the floor and walked out, and the guy was cussing up a storm. Never met anyone so rude, who owned a business and treated his customers like crap. The warehouse workers where we were dropping the load at weren't much better...they made us unload the truck, when it clearly said on the paperwork, the driver wasn't supposed to unload it, the warehouse was. Literally thought my friends dad was gonna kill someone that day.

That was my lone experience in NY, and I'll never go back for anything, I have no desire to be around a bunch of jerkoff Northerners. Spent 26 years of my life dealing with Northerners in kansas City, and they're not as bad as New Yorkers, the Missourians will depress the hell out of you with their mediocrity and sad little lives.

Because of ND's fan base, they would get invited to a bowl game every year if it were not collage football having barely enough sense to require a 6 win minimum. As a Wyoming Cowboy Fan, I'd not be happy if we got over looked during 1 of our rare 6 win seasons while ND got an invite have only won 1 game just because they are ND.

Wow, what a statement. I was born and raised in Denver but have lived in many towns in Missouri including St. Louis (city) over the past 20 years. Outside of the rudeness of people in St. Louis (which you get in any major city), Missouri has wonderful people in it. Good down home conservatives.

I haven't met a Missourian yet that depressed me other than the occasional druggie which you get in any state.

Yeah, the lack of state income tax is nice, but it's also a major metroplex with horrible public transportation and very poor planning when it comes to business locations. That's what creates the ridiculous traffic problems we have. I live 8 miles from my job and it takes me 30 minutes to drive to it...AT 6:30 IN THE MORNING.

But there is also the positives of property prices. Odds are slim you'll find houses anywhere else in the country as cheap as they are here.

However, if it weren't for my kids so implanted in their schools, I'd take them and move. 7 more years til the twins graduate.

now i resent that statement. ND has earned it's prestige by winning 11 championships in their history.

Cowboys have 5 and ND has been around at least twice as long...

Oh yea and ND hasn't done anything since 1988 really. When was the last time they beat USC again?

FIGHT ON!

The reason I compare the two is because of Dallas' post season record. When's the last time Dallas won a playoff game? Or made a run in the post season, despite their terrible record in the post season they are always hailed as a great team.

I am quite aware of our recent post season woes...Funny how you mention that since you guys haven't won a playoff game since 2000. Isn't that kinda like someone in a glass house throwing stones?

Wow, what a statement. I was born and raised in Denver but have lived in many towns in Missouri including St. Louis (city) over the past 20 years. Outside of the rudeness of people in St. Louis (which you get in any major city), Missouri has wonderful people in it. Good down home conservatives.

I haven't met a Missourian yet that depressed me other than the occasional druggie which you get in any state.

Missourians are mediocre people who are content living mediocre lives. I lived in that cesspool Kansas City for 26 years, and I can honestly say the day I moved to Tennessee was one of the best days of my life! I was so depressed there, and people are rude their, they're mediocre, and ignorant. There is no economic hope there, the state and local governments are brutally incompetent, they mismanage their money, the roads are in the Top 5 worst in America, and the whole state is just a dump.

but maybe I'm jaded because I lived there for so long. I never got any good opportunities there to do anything with my life, but it's strange when I moved to Tennessee, opportunities have been presenting themselves to me left and right, and I'm taking full advantage of them.

Hahahaha, I hate them so much. I want to punch Clausen in his ugly surfer face, especially because he didn't come to UT and we're stuck with Crompton.

haha, hater!!! Crompton sucks big time though, I never saw a more incompetent buffoon playing QB in college.

But we don't constantly getted hyped upand we're not media darlings. That was my point, I wasn't bashing you for now postseason wins, I was stating that the reason people hate them is bc they don't win yet they are still hyped up.
