This season is shaping up as the most diversified in terms of uniforms and colors in Denver Broncos history.

Teams are allowed to wear their alternate (third) jersey a max of three times, one in preseason and two in the regular season. That’s good news for Bronco fans who can’t get enough orange, as the locals will wear it three times out of the 10 regular and preseason home games.

But then, in addition to the blue that marks the standard Bronco uniform, Denver will dip back, way back, in time and wear the Broncos’ original 1960 uniform when the Broncos host the Boston (for that game, Boston) Patriots in one of the American Football League matchups this year. That means gold (really, a mustard yellow) home jersey, seal brown pants and helmet, no logo, just a uniform number of the helmet, and of course the legendary, infamous vertically striped gold and brown socks.

The Patriots will also be wearing their 1960’s vintage uniforms as well, featuring their original logo and red, white and blue.

The end zones will boast a 1960’s diamond-look as well, in the opinion of many one of the classiest looking end zone treatments in pro football history.

There will be a few other elements to highlight that rematch of the first game in AFL history, with those details to come out as we get a bit closer to the game.

This will truly be a step back into history at INVESCO Field at Mile High.

The most visible elements will be in terms of artwork. A large pink bow will appear on the east side of the stadium and a pink ribbon will be stenciled onto the field of play.

From the onset of the game, the initiative will clearly be recognizable. A pink coin will be used for the coin toss and a pink ball will be used for the opening kickoff. The goal posts will sport a different look, as the padding will be pink and Thunder, the team's mascot, will also roam the field with pink accessories.

Players and coaches will have an opportunity to partake in the movement, too.

Various players will be sporting pink wristbands and a few are expected to take to the field donning pink cleats. They will also have the option to wear pink gloves and sideline caps throughout the game. Coaches and team officials will sport breast cancer pins.

I wish they'd remake the classic Denver :defense: uniforms.

It's been done. The NYJ remade their classic uniform.

Oh well.

I hope the those atrocious uniforms don't jinx them.

In those horrifying unis.

Coach's wife's oldest sister's mother-in-law must have designed them.
