It came in the fourth quarter of a game that long had been decided, and thousands of folks already had headed for the parking lot Sunday, but a 24-yard completion from Kyle Orton to Daniel Graham was an example of the choice the Broncos offense can force a defense to make.

In a second-and-15 from the Raiders' 37-yard line the Broncos lined up in their base three wide receiver look.

All of the receivers, however, were on the left side of the formation with Graham the only eligible receiver on the right side, down in a three-point stance just off the right shoulder of right tackle Tyler Polumbus.

The Raiders responded with a nickel package - five defensive backs - but had to move the bulk of their coverage, including their best player in the secondary cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, to the offensive left to match with the wideouts.

Orton, in the shotgun, took the snap, gave a look to the side of the field with the wide receivers, selling the play, drew the rush in, then quickly fired the ball to Graham, who had briefly engaged Raiders defensive end Greg Ellis with Polumbus, then peeled back to receive the screen pass.

By then center Casey Wiegman, right guard Chris Kuper and left guard Russ Hochstein had made the wall in front of Graham, who went for the 24-yard gain.
