Scheduled server operating system upgrade Wednesday 4:00 am, 9/30

There is a scheduled update to the server operating system for 4:00 am on Wednesday, September 30.

If things go well, the only downtime will be a single server reboot. However, sometimes the server will hang on a reboot of this type and the data center will have to send a technician to put hands on the server. If this happens, there could be downtime ranging from 5 minutes to 2 hours on Wednesday morning.

If there is any significant downtime, updates will be posted on http://status.broncosforums.com.

Another change. There was some mixup at the server management company. The update was not done last night, but is now scheduled for tonight.

In theory, there should be no disruption overnight when they install the updates, and then I will reboot in the morning 6:00 am or so, and hopefully all goes well.

Sorry for the brief outage. The update of the OS was finished later than scheduled, but I wanted to do the reboot before we got any closer to the weekend and game time, in case there were any problems.

Looks like everything when smooth, except for a couple minutes downtime of the reboot.
