I'm wanting to make a post that jinxes Mahomes, but I'm afraid it could prove to be an accurate prediction

Obligatory **** the Chiefs. I will only be watching the halftime show. If they are getting their asses kicked with 10 minutes to go I will watch the end.

I just thought of a great idea to get some fresh blood to increase participation on this site, have Davii buy a SB ad promoting the channel :D

How much do Super Bowl commercials cost on average for 2025?

Advertisers are shelling out close to $8 million on average for a 30-second spot during Super Bowl LIX, Peter Bray, founder and executive creative director at ad agency Bray & Co., told CBS MoneyWatch. He estimates that around 51 minutes of advertising has been sold for the approximately three to four hour broadcast this year, making the total amount of ad sales somewhere in the hundreds of millions.

The marching bands from that part of the country are defiantly the most energetic and entertain ones that I've ever seen. Is it considered Cajun or some other style?

The idiots sitting behind me are already calling the game for the Eagles. I don't care about the fact the Eagles are up by 24 at this point because we still haven't gotten to halftime yet. There's still plenty of time for an offensive juggernaut like the Chiefs to comeback, especially if the Eagles switches to playing to not lose instead of playing to crush Mahome's sole, as well as the soles of his children and grandchildren yet to be born.

The difference between what I saw in the Pats/Falcons SB and this one is New England spent the first 2 ½ quarters beating themselves by dropping easy catches. Although the Chiefs last drive was killed by a 3rd down drop, the Eagles have been flat out beating the Chiefs at all phases of the game. I’m obviously not ruling out a comeback, but it’s going to be a lot harder for the Chiefs against an Eagles team that is at least their equal then it was for the Pats against Falcons team that they should’ve blown out.

Best for memes and social media content, absolutely. Best musical performance? Depends on taste. I don't feel rap translates well to telecasted live stadium performances. Kendrick performed as well as he could, but my preference would be for more conventional music.

My guess would be they go back to someone from the 2010 slate to perform again. Beyonce is likely their number one choice followed by maybe Bruno Mars? They are likely scared that Taylor Swift might get booed, so she is off the list permanently unless she dumps Kelce and drops another breakup song.

If they decide to go someone more recent, Doja Cat or Dua Lipa would make the most sense. I don't see them betting on anyone new.

She got booed once, by the fans that booed Santa, you’re in a cult if you think the NFL would turn their nose up at her sheer popularity.

It's still too much risk right now. When Kelce is retired, they will revisit her quickly.

According to who? There is zero risk having the most popular entertainer on the planet do the halftime show. If KC were in that SB she would get booed at the stadium but don’t kid yourself . . . you’re very much in the minority.

Maybe they should just let Jayson Aldeen have his turn so y’all can join us back here in reality when it’s over. 33% of this country would run to tik tok and bitch but the half-time show would get better ratings than the actual game.

This is facts.

The risk is exactly what you said: Getting booed in the stadium is bad optics. I never expected her to get booed at all, given her popularity, and Super Bowl LIX proved me wrong. It wasn't just Eagles fans either, there is a whole section of football fans who joined in. The fans aren't necessarily booing her either, they are booing the whole circus and atmosphere around showing her as a spectator in the stands. The NFL's broadcast partners contributed to the culture where is in-style to boo Taylor Swift. Being booed in the stadium won't be something the NFL can ignore.

Beyonce should be the #1 choice. Behind her, Ariana Grande (who I somehow forgot about), Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, or Bruno Mars would all be popular choices who do not carry that risk. Honestly, SZA is tearing it up enough to warrant selection on her own, but usually the NFL waits longer on someone's career before choosing them. Nicki Minaj or Cardi B would make more sense if they were going to go her direction, but both have faded more than the NFL would like.

Nobody cares if opposing fans boo Swift, even she doesn’t care.

Btw, I didn’t realize you were at the SB and can give reliable information on who was booing and who wasn’t, if you had said that to start off with I would’ve been forced to reconsider.

Just kidding, you’re wrong. Nobody ******* cares if she (or anyone else) gets booed.

Money talks and biases walk, she’s the biggest entertainer on the planet, huge following and even bigger media darling. The sheer amount of Swifties alone outnumber your biases 10 to 1, and that doesn’t count people like me, I’ve heard exactly one song of hers. Then there’s the millions upon millions of people who have no idea that your problem with Swift even exists.

This is about money, and when it comes to money the people that count don’t care and the people that care don’t count, full stop.

The casual fan that tunes into the SB could not care less that she’s dating someone playing in the game, and I think the people that are sick of seeing her in the crowd is galactically overstated, they’re the vocal minority. This is simply Jessica Simpson all over again.
