Although this is the 1st time in many years in which its premature for Broncos’ fans to start making out our offseason shopping list, its certainly isn’t too early for the bottom 3rd of the league. A good starting point as any would be Tankathon.com’s mock draft list.

Of course, it’s going to be in constant flux over the entirety of the season. Nevertheless, the position they suggest each team should use their 1st pick on would be an interesting topic of discussion for right now.
What I find surprising is that they seem to believe that only 2 teams are going to be looking at getting a QB, the Titans and the Raiders. I’m sure that no one here is going to dispute this. If anyone feels it’s a worthwhile endeavor to provide an analysis as to why these teams move on from their current QBs, knock yourself out.
Moving on from that subject, I can definitely see a lot more teams who probably could, or should, be dissatisfied with the performance of their QBs.
Cleveland Browns: Basically in the same situation with Watson that we were in with Wilson last season, have to keep him because they can’t afford to cut him. I don’t know how much time he has left on his contract; but I wouldn’t care if I was the Browns owner. I’d draft his replacement and accept the fact that Watson is going to be nothing more than dead weight until we can get rid of him.
New York Jets: Yes, the Packers drafting Rodgers replacement when it looks like he was wash up caused him to turn into a pouty little cry-baby, but that also what caused him to find his fountain of youth for the remainder of his cancerous stay in Green Bay. If I was the Jets’ owner, I’d make a public statement we’d move on from any player who doesn’t make it clear that they want to comeback for the 2025 before the start of free agency. Any player that can’t make up their mind before then, in my opinion, lacks the commitment necessary to play championship caliber football. If Rodgers decides he wants to call my bluff, he’d find out that I wasn’t bluffing.
New Orleans Saints: Its not that I actually believe they should move on Carr at this point; but most NFL owners are quick to move on from 30 something year old QBs what have yet to establish themselves as future HoFers. If I was the owner of just about any team in the league, I’d be more than happy with him backing up my starting QB if Carr was willing to accept such a roll.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Once again, its not that I actually believe they should move on from Mayfield; but that most NFL owners don’t allow 2nd hand starters to have too many bad seasons before they kick them to the curb. If I was the owner of the Broncos, I’d rather have him as my backup than Stidham.

So, their latest update now has the Giants jumping ahead of the Raiders to take a QB, and the Raiders settling for a CB? Combine this with the Jets owner pretty much saying they're done with Rodger and I have to ask you college fan, is next year's QB depth really so bad that all but the 1st 2 teams to take QBs will settle for trying to find one in FA?

Wonder what teams will be needing long term QB's and adding in a long term RB's.

If Belichick gets the number 1 overall pick, he is taking Travis Hunter.
Giants are unlikely to win another game. Thursday they have a shot. Jacksonville has several winnable games, but they seem done.
My guess is Giants, Raiders, then Jacksonville.
Shopping lists depend on who gets hired where. There are vacancies with the Jets, the Cowboys, and the Saints, after that Jacksonville, Chicago, the Giants, and most likely the Raiders.
My guess:
Saints - Keep Rizzy
Jets - Rex Ryan (lol, I know)
Cowboys - Try for Belichick, hire Brian Flores instead.
Giants- Make a play for Belichick, hire Todd Monken.
Jacksonville - Belichick
Bears - Ben Johnson
Raiders - Mike Vrabel (Brady nudges them in his direction)
Wherever Belichick goes, they will take a defender or lineman. Raiders and Giants need QBs no matter what.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE the Broncos should NOT use their first-round pick on another Big 10 tight end who ends up being useless (Jake Butt, Noah Fant, etc.). One guy at CBS Sports.com has a hard-on for this Loveland kid at Michigan who looks to me like Butt 2.0. Give the OL or the secondary some help instead. Even the d-line. Nix seems to do okay with the TEs he has now.

Gunnar Helm out of Texas is a fast riser, and he looks like he is the real deal. With a solid combine and 40 time, he may end up in the 20s. I would be okay with him in the first or second round. Otherwise, there really aren't any elite TEs in college football right now for me. He's also from Cherry Creek if that counts for anything.
Broncos have a decision to make on Bolles. They resigned PS2, Cooper, and Meinerz, but Bolles has not been a priority. It's probably a franchise tag situation, but it's hard to say if he actually ends up back on our roster next year or not. LT immediately becomes the biggest need if Bolles doesn't get tagged or extended.

This draft is DEEP at the TE position.
Nix needs a legitimate #1 WR. I love Sutton, but he ain't him.

Payton doesn't usually use first round picks on receivers. I'm expecting defensive line round 1 and TE or WR in round 2. As good as the pass rush has been, the Ravens made the defense look silly.

I personally wouldn't complain if the Dline was addressed in the 1st round. DT/NT or DE. That's also a position of need IMO.

Scattabo overrated but he got that gritty, Coach-on-the-field pigmentation that SP is looking for.

Justin Simmons or Andre Cisco in FA.
I don’t think #6 is a starter and they don’t appear willing to play JL Skinner.

I’m definitely not a draftnik like a lot of you but I’ve tried to pay a little more attention this year. Admittedly probably still not enough. This is based on where I see the team’s needs coupled with prospective draft positions.
20. Gunnar Helm TE Texas
51. Matthew Golden (and no, I’m not a UT fan). WR Texas
85. Treveyon Henderson RB OSU
120. Malachi Moore S Alabama
189. Jay Higgins LB IOWA
195. Demonte Capehart DL Clemson
204. Brandon Adams CB UCF

The "draft experts" at Tankathon are predicting we take Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan (6'5" & 245 lbs) with our 1st round pick. They believe he's the 2nd best TE in the draft, #1 being Tyler Warren, Michigan (6'6" & 261) Either way, those are a couple of really big boys that will be easy for Bo to spot down field and should be able to out jump just about any DB they face. They better know how to catch the blasted football

How much would you give to jump up and grab one of them before someone else gets them?

D Line makes the most sense in round 1. RB or TE round 2. RB or TE round 3.
Blue, the RB out of Texas is someone I would like in round 3 since he has some wheels. Gunnar Helm may be there in round 2. TEs traditionally don't go early 1st, so I expect a bit of sliding.
The trade market may be another option, but it is hard to project who will be out there until the coaching carosol settles. Bo needs weapons who can get YAC. Scheming only goes so far.
Needs: IDL, TE, ILB, RB.
Safety is not as urgent as need as IDL and ILB. Isiah Simmons would be a solid flier in free agency, since he had his best year under VJ. He was playing LB with the Giants, so maybe he could be a Trevathan/Woodyard type player here?
