Oh man, getcha popcorn ready. Watching this play out in real time is going to be endlessly entertaining. The Niners just posted a depth chart, and Trey Lance is third string behind Sam Darnold. IMO, if they don't win a championship with Purdy, Kyle and John Lynch are going to have a tremendous amount of egg on their collective faces over the Lance pick. They could have three more first round picks (cost controlled for five years each) on their roster, and still have Brock Purdy. This is likely going to go down as a stroke of utter genius, or a truly legendary f*** up.

If I ever meet Kyle Shanatan or John Lynch I am going to ask why they drafted Trey Lance, not because I think it was a mistake but because he’s not their type of QB.

That entire coaching tree is allergic to talent, they prefer paint-by-numbers scrubs; they didn’t “Luck into” getting Purdy because there’s dozens of Brock Purdy’s in every single draft.

What they did was waste three #1 draft picks on a player that is everything they never wanted in a QB, and I think it’s utterly ******* hilarious.
