Patrons can also place wagers on sporting events, and I was thinking about putting 20 on the under when I was assuming the total points would be put at around 60 because both teams’ O overshadow their Ds in public notoriety. However, its only 51, which is too low for comfort.
On a side note, that the 1st time I bet on a SB I lost $2 to a classmate, and a football card to another classmate, betting on the Eagles over the Raiders in SB XV when I was 11 years old.

Forking terrible call there, that decided the game. That said, Andy did that poor loser Iggles DC Gannon the way Bill Belly did McVey in his first Super Bowl. Took him behind the woodshed. And likely bent the hell out of the rules to do it. League should probably investigate his use of pre-snap motion. Either way, coaching matters in the NFL. A lot.

Random takeaways:
That was a bad call; it would have been a rough call in the regular season. Yikes.
That field's condition was embarrassing. Holy shit.
Offense wins championships. It's a new era, boys.
Mahomes avoiding one of the best pass rushes in history (by the stats) shows how much a QB can do to mitigate pass rush. The fact that he did in one one leg pretty much cements that except in the most drastic cases, QB's have the ability to overcome bad blocking.
It's still sexy to have a line as good as Philly's, though.
At this point I'm not on the Mahomes is the GOAT bandwagon; I still believe you need at least a season after a guy retires to truly look back and appreciate the nuances of his career. I am on the "he ain't gotta play another snap," to be a first ballot HoFer though. Playing on that busted ankle and playing as well as he did after reinjuring it...he's pretty ******* tough. I don't know if he's McNabb and McNair tough, but he's pretty ******* tough.
Hurts is a monster. Philly is going to pay him this offseason it looks like, and that might save them money in the long run.
Mahomes only had one legitimate weapon in Kelce. The fact that for two straight years every AFC/NFCCG team was loaded on offense is contextually relevant because Mahomes basically broke the mold. And it was a mold he benefitted from.
Hurts was great 99% of the time. That ******* turnover was brutal. However, he was dominant as ****. Hit tough passes both in the pocket and on the run. Philly is showing us what you can do with a gifted guy who can run; they've arguably done as good of a job with JH as BUF did with Allen. Pay attention, Chicago!
Von Miller would have gotten sacks today. Both teams had pass rushers; but neither had big boss pass rushers. You need a pass rusher that's a big boss. It's science.
Sirianna is a great coach. Reid is a greater coach. Reid has serious arguments at being top five all-time. I don't think he's better than Noll, Walsh, or BB. Too much hardware and too many great contributions to the game. But...has an argument to be better than Parcells and guys like that.
Wide Receivers > Corners.

Mahomes has reached prime LeBron level where if his team isn't playing for a title, it's a massive surprise. And he's doing it in a sport with way more variance where it's way harder to make it to the final game. And he's doing it in the conference loaded with all the QB talent.
The fact that he plays for KC is the worst, but you can't deny his greatness anymore. As long as he's there, they should be super bowl favorites every year. I doubted how effective he'd be when he lost Hill. Dude didn't miss a beat. Won an MVP with Kelce and a bunch of B rate talent.
Strap in boys, we still got a long next decade ahead of us. We all better pray that Payton gets Russ back to his old form. And even that might not be enough.

I think he’s my favorite QB to watch. Ever. He’s basically this generations Elway. I don’t hold that SB loss against him, either.

Also for Reid: this guy was a monster when defense dominated football and defenders could get away with murder; the rules favoring defense were as one sided as the rules are today for offense. Now that he gets to play with the rules favoring him it’s brutal.
I will say this for Hurts: he was basically their running game. I can’t think of too many big plays by their backs.

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry took responsibility for a questionable holding call late in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday that helped swing the game in the Kansas City Chiefs' favor.
"I was hoping he would let it go, but of course he's a ref, it was a big game," Bradberry said after the Eagles' 38-35 loss. "It was a hold, so they called it."
The Chiefs were facing a third-and-8 from Philadelphia's 15-yard line with just under two minutes to play and the game tied 35-35. Bradberry appeared to put his hand on receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster at the top of his route and was whistled for defensive holding.

Also, he probably felt safe grabbing there because he knew the refs had literally not called it once all game. That's my biggest issue here. You can't let them play and get handsy all game then in the biggest moment possible decide to throw the flag.

The Bengals didn't get screwed in last year's SB. They were literally gifted a TD on an OPI, held Donald all game, and had ref help on not just a missed call the play before the holding call you hate, but a TD taken off the board from L.A. because of a phantom holding call.
Philly got burnt on a bad call. However, they wasted a timeout to stop a delay of game call, gave up a fumble-six, got murdered in the second half and gave up points to the Chiefs in each drive. You can also argue KC got hosed on the Goedert challenge where he arguably bobbled the ball and only got one foot down, and some are arguing the negated fumble-six was an actual catch. I don't believe those last two, but that's been in the discussion spectrum today. Philly also botched a punt and gave up a long return; their special teams have been ass all year.
Let's not get too carried away and act like it was a robbery. It was a really bad call. It didn't determine the game; you can't get slapped an entire half of football and point to a call, especially if it's technically correct. And, let's also be honest: there was a blatant PI missed involving JuJu earlier in the game on third down.
King87

Bonus point: KC burned Philly on that exact same route twice before. Of course he held there; he didn't want to get burned again. That call does take the luster off of a great SB, but KC won the SB fair and square.

My beef with the call isn't that it cost Philly the game. I agree that's not why they lost. My beef is that it robbed the fans of a chance for a great finish to one of the best super bowls ever. It just made the ending completely anticlimactic.
This game would have been the perfect case of a rule I've wanted the NFL to put in for a long time. If you're leading in the last 2 minutes and have the ball, the clock only keeps running if you gain yards. It's so lame that you can kill the last two minutes on kneeling. Make the team keep playing! And if they are good enough to gain yards, so be it, the game ends.

I wanted to see Hurts get the ball back with about a minute and at least one timeout. That man was cooking. He was a God. Imagine him scoring a touchdown and then converting a 2 pt conversion to win it all. That's the best SB moment ever. He's a legend no matter what. It sucked. That call sucked. Jaded is what I wish I was. Man, I love you.
